I would like to know how many PA’s have been done and approved for Part D vs the number of filled prescriptions? Reps are doing their part with pull through, but they can’t overcome ridiculous out-of-pocket expenses. What management fails to understand is that providers stop trying after 2 or 3 failed attempts to fill a script and reports of $200 co-pays. The idea that this is on the reps is pathetic. Tenured reps are not going to stick around. It’s a sad realization that the promises they made of an amazing culture and a collaborative environment flew straight out the window the moment panic set in. Alienating your sales force, the very ones you need to make any progress toward the ridiculous projections, was a big misstep.

I'm sure if we all knew who you were, we'd be genuflecting before you and hailing your consistent super sales acumen and high compensation at the best pharma company in the world to work for where you are employed right now and how you have job security until you choose your target retirement date.

    YOU ROCK!

Sounds like tough times at Alconergan. Things are tough all over. Hang in there.

They make millions cashing in stock, yet ridiculous goals ensure no bonuses for the reps pushing the scripts through. This will make for a fascinating tale of the destructive power of GREED.

This company encourages the management style of fear and intimidation. There is zero ownership of any misfires by senior management - all they are good at is finger pointing and blaming others. There will be a lot of vacancies before too long and if you’re considering this company I would suggest looking elsewhere. They treat people like absolute SHIT.

I wonder if this was David Epstein’s “vision” of having a company that is so toxic? An upper leadership team that that lies to its stakeholders about coverage and has no clue about the glaucoma market or how to forecast a product properly. A leadership team that takes zero accountability and points fingers at the reps. Great job running this place into the ground. Every rep was lied to about this culture and how wonderful Aerie was supposed to be. It’s been very quiet since our motivational conference call. Reps be warned there is going to be a massive layoff by the end of September. Bottom 20! Sun PHARMA is hiring and has openings in every market. I suggest you apply. The reps that work for sun get treated with respect and even get paid bonuses. Good luck reaching your unattainable goals!

i do agree that the goals were set wrong. Should be adjusted to reality. Let’s see what they do to correct it. We were told Vince and Tom always do the right thing.

this will not end well for field sales.
stay and get whatever severance they offer you which won't be much since the company is long and the tenure is short or run for the hills.
problem is, there's not much better on the other side of the hill

SUN Pharma is a CIA waiting to happen.
This is a pyramid scheme plain and simple.
The upper echelon folks who've been here since 2005 to much before field sales got here will land with golden parachutes. Ah, just hang in here and get your severance. It' won't be September. You're a troll in panic mode. Chill out.

Oh ok. You’ve got to be kidding me!!! Either you don’t work for the company or weren’t on the conference call and haven’t gotten your “attainable quota”. They have lied to all of us hook, line and sinker. An amazing company culture that isn’t like “big Pharma” - Nope. The only accurate statement that’s been made in the last couple of weeks is that we weren’t given quotas. In the hiring process they said we weren’t going to get them because they didn’t have anything to compare the launch to. THAT was accurate. IF we were able to get EVERY SINGLE script of the adjunct market for the managed care that we have to date, we would be WELL below the ridiculous quotas that we have been given. The new mentality is a joke and more so, a COMPLETE disappointment. Shame on all of the reps for believing that a company could actually stand for the BS we were sold on? Absolutely not! Too bad the company didn’t spend more time on preparing for a realistic launch than the game plan to deceive hardworking people. Best of luck to the reps who have been displaced and to those who are next to be displaced. It’s coming.

Lets face it, the folks that started this company were hoping all along that once they filed the NDA that one of the big boys would come in and buy the company and they would sail off into the future after exercising their stock options. When there was no interest, they had to hire a sales force despite none of the top execs having any experience in doing so. The projected uptake of this drug was nothing but a dream based on fantasy (which is why the goals set are so unattainable).

How are those Ten calls per day going?
Are you emboldening your doctors to prescribe Rhopressa today!
Don't take no for an answer!
    Red eye? Blah, no biggie!
    PA needed with high co-pay?
Can you put a price on slowing disease progression.
You need to better educate your patients!

You want your patient to go blind when Rhopressa can "clearly" prevent that?

Of course, this was a pyramid scheme all along.
The top folks will or already have made a killing.
But hey, when you're out of work, you take what you can get.
Just didn't think the Sh*t would hit the fan this fast.
I mean, geez, give us 12 months before you pull the rug from underneath our feet.
Always remember, you own 1% of the company's profits.
    Until you don't.
Has anyone noticed that there has been no communication/pep talks from upper management since the debacle conference call?
    The silence is deafening.
    Enjoy the POA!
or should it be called POS!
When leadership jumps out of the plane with their golden parachutes on, they'll leave us in the plane without a pilot and without even a nylon parachutes.
    Thanks a bunch Aerie leadership.
    We luv ya!

Laughing so hard reading these comments about the idiots of Aerie management and sales numbers. Let me guess- their medical outreach group talked to docs and the docs said they would love a new glaucoma drug and so Mitro and company got excited and forgot to get coverage and now you can't sell this moon dust! Beautifull! I laugh cause after many years at Allergan, these clowns were shown the door cause they sucked. Got calls about this place and I laughed at them. This company will crumble. 2 years from now, either someone buys them pennies on the dollar or they evaporate. Both drugs will suck and nobody will waste time trying to prescribe it. Sorry all you knuckleheads bought into their dog and pony show. From the outside the handwritting was on the wall from day 1.
