Don't fool yourself. The Jazz culture started by Bruce was incredible and people pretend it still exists but Jazz now operates like big pharma. Bruce has relinquished much power to those with the big pharma attitude. It's sad that Jazz is has changed but it had. HQ has had many leave to other bay area companies since jazz is now just another pharma company that preaches culture but doesnt practice it.

True. It is big pharma all the way but in complete denial

FYI- Remember Oct. 27 is the 8th anniversary of the death of our founder, "Papa" Jazz!
    I think of him often!

I'm glad that some have had good interview experiences. It seems that jazz has gone big pharma when it comes to talent acquisition and is way too trusting on recruiters that don't really understand the industry. Applicants are at the mercy of a recruiter that may spend 15-20 minutes speaking with you ( but billing jazz for 30-45). I am fortunate to be part of a group of several interviewing. It seems to be 100% based on whether you get one of the good recruiters that wants to learn about you or one of the recruiters that hates that you make more than her and is quite simply a complete bitch.

It is very unfortunate. However, the recruiters are doing the dirty work for Jazz by giving courtesy screens to older experienced candidates but are then automatically rejecting them all from further consideration. It smells like big pharma alright.

This statement isnt correct. We have a lot of reps and employees that are older. Jazz welcomes experience. Many on my team are mid to late forties

And just a special thank you to all our employees who remembered the death of our founder, Jermaine Jazz, on the anniversary of his death October 27th. His legacy lives on!
Several of the I- Hops in South Carolina have hung pictures of Papa Jazz in their foyers!
The Jazz Family thanks you all!

The Jazz commercial team has chosen that with the new expansion, experience is important as long as that experience does not come with age. Jazz is changing. Look around HQ, field leadership........

So what is the magical age that they will no longer hire you at?

I don't know about the current expansion but Jazz is changing. The culture I came to work for is dying and all promotions are going to the younger applicants. I am happy in my role and do well but HQ leadership is all big pharma mentality now and are only focused on indoctrinating new leaders into the new jazz/big pharma ways. Younger reps are given much more forgiveness for bad numbers, at least in my part of the country.
