    I find it amazing that no one at Braeburn or Camurus saw this coming. Did no one think to check Sublocade's Orange Book listing, which clearly states that they have New Product exclusivity through November 30, 2020?

    And what about the investors who just ponied up $100 million? Did they not do their due diligence either?

    This is baffling.

    the weekly is where the best chance for success is. Take it from someone who launched the monthly. Offices don’t want a monthly injection because they can’t make coin on the weekly visits and therapy sessions. That’s why the oral formulation is still leading the market. They only write a 1 week script many times so they can bill for other things and keep the pts coming back

    If you think offices want the headache of a weekly specialty injection you're f***ed in the head. The monthly is problematic enough! Now imagine trying to do weekly PAs, figure out the logistics for a weekly, arrange shipment, get patients in office when they're supposed to be....no way in hell. Why do you think Sublocade is struggling?? 1. Most patients don't want it. 2. It's a pain in the ass to get. 3. The hassle is too much for most offices bc of reason #2.
    Good luck. I'm busting my ass over here at INDV and just now getting things going. I couldn't imagine a weekly, with the response we've gotten to the monthly. Offices will still make a lot more $$$ just doing oral bupe.

    The offices making $$ on the oral have patients coming back every week forever. But not all offices are like that. In fact, many do weekly for maybe a month, then space it out to bi-weekly then monthly. Those "weekly forever" offices have it too easy to mess with a weekly injection

    what goes around comes around. I should send the arrogant bitch (MT) an e-mail with congrats for the (100%) promise of approval. Guess she knew news was going to be bad so she just stopped replying to any question. Very professional approach, great leadership example, thought she would have learned something in the Air Force about integrity but took the hide in the bushes approach. Used to be on LinkedIn 20 times a day,lol:p

    The weekly is shipped monthly with four prefilled syringes. There would still only be one monthly copay for medication and one delivery per month. Doesn’t have to be refrigerated just locked up. I think my offices would prefer weekly for some patients as it would let them see their progress weekly - many have been hesitant to start patients because they want to see them more than once a month and don’t think they will come in less than once a month without need for medication. They are not trying to make money off the patients but are generally concerned about them.

    Your last sentence is hilarious, and shows you know nothing about the LAI market! I don’t work for your company, but I do sell a monthly injectable, and I can sure as hell tell you that the docs will not use a weekly! Hell, it’s hard to get them to use my drug monthly!

    Also, a good friend of mine was treated like shit during the interview process by one of your district managers. I hate it for the reps of your company that your drug is delayed for 2 years, but for the asshole that treated my friend badly, it’s called Karma.

    Good luck to you guys finding employment. One last thing. Upper management is in constant contact with the FDA during the approval process. They knew for weeks that this was going to happen to your drug! Fuck them all!

    That won’t work in 99.9% of offices. Patients will go elsewhere if forced on a weekly.

    The weekly will have the best chance of success where the state mandates weekly counseling for the drug to be covered. Also, where the standard of care is universal. Geographies where patients have oral bup options or cash for monotherapy will have a much higher hill to climb.

    The weekly will help some offices in the sense that it will allow them to provide a treatment with minimal diversion potential while not threatening their business models. This will please some HCPs. Now the second sell comes with getting the patients onboard.

    The logistical element of all four Pre-filled syringes will be easier in regards to scheduling shipments. Be prepared for certain offices to be squeamish about holding a controlled substance onsite a whole month. Many expressed concern holding the monthly for 1-2 days.

    This won’t be for most patients, however there will be a patient base that will do this. The patient’s that want the monthly currently had a hard time going from a drug they dosed multiple times a day to once a month. The weekly will help patients that are having a hard time making such an extreme dosing adjustment.

    Part of recovery is changing behavior. I for one know that I’d rather have a monthly than a weekly. There’s no way I could take off work every single week.
