Did anyone who was a symbicort bevespi daliresp rep actually male COE from last year. I’d like to know the ratio of Symbicort farxiga reps versus symbicort bevespi/Dali reps who made COE, received higher rankings all year and received career ladder promotions. I believe the rankings system to be completely flawed from last year, giving the symbicort farxiga reps a very unfair advantage in receiving higher performance and as such greater reward than their counterparts?

Newsflash..... Coe rankings have always been unfair and completely flawed. Nothing more than luck of the draw. There’s been years where reps carrying same products in the same geographies have seen one rep win coe and other one doesn’t just due to product ‘direction’. Corporate couldn’t care less that it’s flawed all it is a guaranteed yearly vacation for upper leadership.

It is truly a flawed system. We should only be compared against other reps carrying the EXACT same portfolio. Not reps carrying a different product mix. Check it out on the COE page. They have always gone against their own guidance and it is just not fair.

Totally agreed ! It is ridiculous and unfair. We are calling on the same people , so why should they get paid more for doing the same job? Even though they changed it this year , it is still not a fair way to promote. It does not promote teamwork at all . 50/50 this year when the real diabetes team is 70% on farxiga ??? It will be interesting to see the COE rankings for that team with so much invested in diabetes.

How in the hell do they know who generated a script when multiple people are promoting the same drug to the same customer and 90% of all recorded calls are fake?

Having been in the HO for many years before I retired, I can tell you more than 1 person got a good laugh about the accuracy of rep sales data. Also, the COE was also a running joke about how those people were selected. There is no actual way to tell which rep is responsible for the business. You see, the only that really matters is what we ship out of the warehouse to our customers. If you accidentally get credit for it or not, it doesn’t really matter to the company. I can tell you it’s this way for all of the pharma people I know with many pharma companies. We also knew that reps only work a few hours a day, so we figured you came out even on the sales end with inaccurate data.

It’s been years since I have posted on CP. I have always assumed you guys were a lot more savvy about how things actually worked. Hopefully, this make things a little clearer for you.

So many respiratory reps who are very upset with the situation regarding rankings last year and the unfair advantage The Symbicort:farxiga reps got over the Symbicort/Bevespi/Daliresp reps. Wouldn’t be surprised if eventually there is a lawsuit against AZ. In general AZ is going to lose most of their really talented hard working (or actually working) reps as there are other opportunities out there that don’t make it impossible to receive appropriate recognition and be rewarded and have career advancement.

Unfair? When are you going to get it? The company doesn't give a rats ass what is fair and what is good for the sales force. They do what they want to do. They think so highly of our sales force they won't let anyone post for an Oncology position. That tells all. The latest firings tell you all. I don't care who you are, your days are numbered here. If you can get out of this toxic industry. If you can't get out start a side business on AZ's time. If you do nothing you get exactly what you deserve. If you think it is easy being fifty something and looking for a job with only pharma on your resume you are wrong. You don't need a weatherman to tell you it's raining outside. My gawd so many people here are so fucking stupid.

Career advancement?? What is that? ITs sure non-existent here at AZ!

Can someone HONESTLY please explain why this company has such a bias against its own salespeople? Honestly, what is the real actual reason they won't promote anyone from within to onc or bio???? I have seen droves of very talented people leaving here for this reason and its a shame.

Since the company won't promote from within to Bio or Onc there must be a reason for it. Perhaps the reason is the company thinks AZ reps are not that good and have to go outside the company to get capable sales people. With this being said....who hired these "poor" sales people? DSMs? I would think any DSM that has hired a rep should be fired for not developing their sales people. Oh what about the training department? Gee I guess they all should be fired with a 2 rating for the past few years as they have not developed capable sales people.

Very well said! DSM's and trainers who can't develop people should receive a 2 rating. Two years with a two rating and you're gone. Makes sense to me as this is the new AZ rating system.

Just do the bare minimum that is required of you. Taking on other "champion" roles only helps your DM when when they are asked how you develop others. I know from my own experience, it won't amount to anything on the outside when applying for other jobs, and it SURE AS HELL won't amount to anything working at AZ. It's just extra busy work for you while your manager looks good as you work your ass off for meaningless tasks that get you an empty promise of promotion. Do the bare minimum and enjoy the job for what it is.

And many of the people that have left landed oncology and biologics positions with our competitors! Sad that their own company wouldn’t even interview them and then they leave to novartis, Amgen etc for similar positions! SMH!!

Well said. Interviewed with a company last week and they didn’t give a rats ass about having been a Farxiga Champ. AZ does these stupid roles to give the “appearance” of developing employees. This place is a total joke.

They sure did! One after the other...gone! I heard about some guy in another region who Left AZ for another company and then was able to come back into a bio position here after working there for like 6 months . Not his fault But they hire him back here and then tell current employees no we won’t hire you for bio or Onc, how in the hell does that reward their loyalty!!?

Agree with the other post as well that champion roles are a bunch of bs..nothing more than the company laughing at watching us spin our wheels like stupid little hamsters thinking we are actually working toward something..
