Janssen is a great company. You have a good question, but this is the wrong forum for it. These people are all sales reps - they really have no idea of how the company operates. In the various R&D and Commercial functions there is ALWAYS a relocation package. They literally pay for people to move across the globe, provide housing for them for a few months while they get settled in the new area, etc. The package depends on Operating Company, level, etc.

Don't get discouraged by the idiots on this forum - they don't count. You won't even see one the whole time you're here. Welcome to the company!

Thank you for the reply! Haven't checked in awhile because I didn't expect any reasonable responses. I VERY quickly learned this was the wrong site to ask for information of any sort and that although there are a few 'science' sections, their use in thin and it's all mostly for trolling.

Everyone I've dealt with so far outside this site has been wonderful and everyone really seems to enjoy working for the company. Thank you!

I can confirm, it's almost impossible to get a cross country relocation package with jnj.

Did it twice, it's doable and a nice package, full house move + car, flights, stipend.

JNJ (Janssen) is a great company. If you are in sales you are probably very discouraged about your career because it is a dead end job with no sustainable future. Regarding relocation, JNJ is very competitive and does offer a nice package.

To actually answer your question as someone who did a relocation during the pandemic:

    - they set you up with a relo partner that buys your house near instantly, we actually chose to sell on the market because we knew we’d get more, but they offer 6% more than “market assessment”, we got 20% more by listing- they paid the realtor. We got 100% of contract price.

    - they pay closing costs on the new house, we were able to stretch further because of it

    - they pay the buyer’s realtor differential and give you a good lender, got a jumbo loan for ~2.5%.

    - they move all of your stuff completely white glove. I mean they find a pencil on the floor and will individually wrap it and unpack it. It’s extreme.

    - they give you ~20k depending on your family size as a stipend in addition to sign on; don’t have to expense home buying costs

    - they move your cars of course too

    - I’m mid level and the relocation package was worth almost $100k in sellers fees, closing costs, stipend, moving, and other benefits.
