I applaud this one, thank goodness people are catching on.. so sad.. who runs a diagnostic lab company like old day militant pharma? Most of the reps do not even know what this means as they just graduated from college!

Right, that is what EXAS reps do.. they get scored off of how good their “details” of the Core Visual Aid “script” is.. stick to the approved messaging only... God forbit you add the word “um”

It feels like we work for Pfizer in the 1990s. Jurassic leadership is rampant here and has no clue. I’m so sick of hearing about how I can improve my “detail”.

It's hard to POLISH a Turd....Pfizer Pfun will make things worse...but I know some of Exact reps and they are top notch...

I’m a former employee, and I sometimes regret leaving. My manager must have been on a big dose of Adderal because he was truly a maniac. So many spreadsheets and analysis...anyway it’s a good cause and hopefully I saved a life or two while I was in the field. Good luck exact sciences. I wish you well. P.S. If you managers want to be helpful, spend ride days doing administrative work for your rep. I spent to much time apologizing for an overbearing manager.

    You are lucky you left
Everything is changing quickly for the worst.
The new management is destroying the culture .Clearly they do not care about anything or anyone except for micromanagement. This is not entry level pharma. They are treating us like we are entry level right out of college and need to be lead around. You can’t even do what is best for your business anymore, because you are too busy making sure you are following routing that is impossible and seeing targets that include providers who are not even viable if you know your business like the tenured, intelligent reps do. So incredibly disappointing to see all of this happening to what was once a positive, exciting, thriving culture.

Culture is the worst! Stuck it out for a year and couldn’t get out fast enough. Was sold a POS used car during the interview process. Managers are awful and will throw their reps under the bus aka “manage them out” to make themselves look better. I’ve never regretted a career move in my career until this one. It’s the def of toxic.

I guess I was managed out. Working there was the worst experience of my professional career (20 years of sales experience). I was leading in every metric including velocity except for quota attainment. What a bunch of BS. The whole pharma/medical sales industry in need of a major overhaul.

Don’t be a bitter “Debbie Downer” . The older reps brought no value whatsoever. Just look where the company is today due to Mark’s Leadership. He’s bringing fresh and new ideas:

“I think the thing that I would add to compliment your message is that the focus of our selling organization is not only getting physicians to write more Cologuard, but also educating their back office. We know that those offices that use our provider portal and order electronically, order more Cologuard. So the really press from our selling organization is to holistically sell Cologuard and drive electronic ordering.“

”Older folks don’t bring any value?” Without these older folks, you would probably be sitting as a Walmart greeter in Pigsknuckle, Arkansas! What do all of these millennial whiners bring to the table except what’s in it for me! You have one basic test to sell so don’t act like you are mastering brain surgery! I am so afraid of the next generation and how they will screw up all the advantages that the “old people” have given them! Losers!

Like destroying the environment? Or running up the national debt? What about kicking off never-ending wars in the Middle East? Wait - maybe they will run the cost of college into the stratosphere!

Stop me when I get to the advantages Boomers have given us.

Are you serious? The National debt has been ran up over the last 20 years, not 40 or fifty! What does the Middle East or the environment have to do with any of this? Nothing has changed and the young brain-trusts we have whining only go to prove this person’s point. This industry is in serious trouble with all the clueless youngsters wandering around. Get yourself and MBA at Wharton and then we will talk to you but until then, back to the kiddie table!

How appropriate to prove the point! Young whiners use the Simpsons cartoon as a rebuttal! You go get’m Sparky. And hold your breath until mommie and daddy put cable in the basement for you. Pathetic, and we wonder why they make fun of this industry now!

why are we even having this conversation? We are a one-trick pony lab that doesn’t appear to have anything in the pipeline. We are one rung above the door to door salesperson and the kid who sells chocolate for the band trip. Get over it! You are not performing brain surgery. Get some time under your belt and find a real lab job!

Amen!!! Real lab sales have hundreds of tests to sell. Exact is a JOKE. It’s Pharma.

Just a reminder that the executive team at Exact are all rewarding themselves millions and millions of dollars worth of stock, while you miss your quota. Scott Coward just cashed in big big big bucks. Wonder how many kits he ever sold?
