You can check emails all day long and question whatever. It’s been two years since our last big RIF and word within a tight group is that they are prepping for a much larger RIF this go around. Due to the merger they are allowed a higher percentage RIF in allowance with most WARN laws and such. Get the resumes cleaned up and don’t wait around for an awesome severance, being a merger it changes a lot of normalities.

Has anyone heard of or been asked to do a drug test recently?

 

Not on the 6th but within the next 4 weeks. There is some issue with realignments at a higher level and who will answer to who. Drug test positive and you will lose out on a severance, read the fine print.

 

No offense but how STUPID do you have to be to be worried about failing a drug test with all of this going on? If you’ve continued to engage in those activities knowing at any moment you could be laid off and in a job seeking position again where it will be all but guaranteed your future employment would be contingent on passing a drug test you deserve what you get. I’m not saying I’m straight laced but I had the forsite to button any of that up months ago knowing I’d be sending out resumes and interviewing. Very short sited. SMH

 

I still think sales force will find out like we did two years ago, March 28. This aligns too much with end of fiscal year. They are pushing us with promotion spif to keep us engaged and selling up until the last day or two. They will use first quarter to train, NSM, and get everyone re-engaged. Still have to launch new GI drug too. This will be a deep cut. There are a lot of overlapping sales positions in territories. Think of drugs we are losing soon. They will plan for that too.

I agree with it being a deep cut and doing so because of the merger. It’s never good optics to cut 50% or more BUT it’s okay if there is a merger because it’s “expected”. They will use the term synergies a nauseating amount real soon. Normally anything over 25% I believe, gets a really big fine by the government but this will be an exception with the merger. It’ll be bloody

I don’t get this. Anyone with any sort of decent could at least tell us the date it’s coming so we could better prepare ourselves for the worst. Even if they don’t know or give The Who they could give the when.

If anyone in upper management reads this can you at least give that.
