Don't they know people riding with us just slows us down? Nothing they are making us do makes sense. Tell us we need focus and ride along help with one product and then make us concentrate on another all while having people ride with us and slow us down. WFT? Who's plan was this? Focus on this product because we really need to increase market share, but wait! Also learn another product and then focus 20% of you time on that one after you learn it. Then all these people will be working with you because we really need to increase share in the original one and the "ride along helpers" do nothing but slow us down.

Just think about what a screwed up plan that is. Go this way because it is the most important thing then at the same time go another way for 20% of the time. Then add 195 pounds of weight on your back to help you detail the first product. Do our leaders know what is going on?!?!

I mean, I see your point, but this is very poorly written.

No they don’t. Another antiquated Big Pharma reach and frequency tactic. So so JR and ALKS. Next thing we know managers will be in the back seat for a 3 way ride along

That is really funny. These field rides are not helping business at all and we are very distracted.

OP may have a poorly written post but the information in it is 100% dead on true. The Aristada reps I've talked to are all wondering what really is their main focus. They are being told two different things and being pulled in two different directions. They will be doing A LOT of work chasing down Vivitrol Rx's and helping offices learn coverage, SP routing and a ton of other things once they start promoting. I don't think management really thought this out. I already have them calling me asking about the "overlap" offices that I have made some calls on. This will really hurt Aristada sales. You just wait and watch. What was our company thinking?!!

No thinking. You should know that by now. It’s another let’s throw more stuff on the wall and see if it sticks.

Good point. I think it will be even worse than what you think. Just think bout it for a sec. As a VIV rep I know how much work it can be just to help track down coverage for some not very sophisticated in billing offices. So the ARI guy comes in mentions VIV and the office starts to talk about a potential VIV patient from the other day and how they are having trouble getting coverage determination and so on and so on and the ARI rep is now in a 2 day spiral chasing this down. All for one kit. Yup. It's a head scratcher.
I think we will see a big dip in ARI sales once the ARI sales reps start doing anything with VIV.

viv is a great product that deserves more use. Patients in need deserve it. The reasons as to why it’s not being used are bigger than simply throwing more reps at it. Deep rooted issues that need to be addressed from top down.

195 lbs? That's a big girl. Short answer to your question: your "leaders" not only know what's going on but they brainstormed and implemented this trash idea.

When these useless middle management have their meetings, they exchange big pharma ideas, what they read in their latest business book, or what they heard in a TED talk. Then they roll it out and don't want to hear any rep feedback because it would crush their fragile egos and shine a light on how these useless idiots contribute nothing useful. Nothing. Ever.

"Good" managers should ride with their reps once a quarter for one day, give feedback not criticism, and hey, maybe actually share ideas as a colleague, not a spineless beta POS that most of them are.

    Good talk.

I have to agree with lots of these posts that be talkin about the crazy crazy crazy idea of havin them aristada reps doin vivitrol. Makes no no no no no sense.

I be gonna do a lot less talkin bout aristada startin about now and most of my talkin about vivtrol aint gonna be doin much to get no scripts fer it. Our managers who be coming up with these dang near dum ideas makin us look like a buncha hillbilly fools fer a company. That gal who was sayin aristada scripts gonna go down once this be startin sure gonna be right. We be doin some stupid things as a company of late. That's fer sure!

I don't care that my managed care person is riding with me. I'm confused about having to learn and promote Vivitrol when they told us Aristada is doing so bad and that's the reason we need all these people riding with us. Management telling us that then giving us Vivitrol too sure sends us conflicting messages and makes them look foolish. This is just nonsense and I have lost all respect and confidence in our upper leadership team. They are asking us to do something that makes no sense.

This is an old school Hail Mary .... better to cut back sampling activities and see what happens to your numbers.

There have been a lot of missteps during the JR era. Things like the FRM's are not needed here. Treating us like we are an oncology company. We aren't an oncology company. We would have been better off just hiring 15 more Vivitrol reps instead of hiring FRM's.

So true. We would have been even more better off if we weren't made to sell both Aristada and Vivitrol. Stupidest thing we could have done. I do both half assed now.

I think we all agree with you. Problem is that we need to let executive management know how silly this is. You'd think they'd get it, but they don't.

Why did the Nebraska Manager leave ?

Why is everyone leaving would be the better question. I think it is because Jim Robinson and all his Astellas raiders came in here and did things that most people who have been here for a while realize were the worst thing they could do for this company. So, they are fearful for the long term and short term success of the company. That makes people quit or want to quit. Add to that all the new field teams like FRM, Hospital and KAM teams that were added and you now have a field team that does little selling and spends tons of time on matrix group or field team collaboration initiative web ex's and meetings instead of selling our products.

Does anyone really need the help of FRMs in their territory (Aristada or Vivitrol reps feel free to weigh in)? We are not selling oncology medications. Instead of FRM's we should have just hired more Vivitrol reps.

What does the Hospital Team do? Anyone?

Then new KAM empire has started to form and can you believe the leaders and all the headcount that is being added? Are they needed and are that many needed? You all know the answer.

Wasteful use of resources that have our reps and us field managers spending more time doing field collaboration than selling. Sad what this company has become. We used to be lean and hungry. Now we are bloated, redundant and activity based. Maybe that's why so many are quitting.
