Celgene Layoffs to be Massive!!!

i worked at celgene and couldn’t be happier this happened..the president of the I&I division was a joke and if your territory didn’t have good volume you didn’t stand a chance. We would complain but he didn’t care. Karma is a bitch good luck chumps

 

Couldn’t have said it better! Celgene put together the most unequal territories they could! set most up to fail. But you won’t hear me complaining, getting great $$$ for nothing now

 

I worked at I&I. I took over a low ranking territory. I am essentially a bikini model. The so called "no see" docs in my territory see me.

Every NSM and at other times, I am told that my example is citing as what can happen when someone takes over a low performing territory.

For some reason, they never add:

I live in one of the fastest growing metro areas in the world: Houston
I have some of the best managed care access this side of utopia
I am hotter than the surface of the sun
My numbers are largely driven by 5 docs

 

And let me guess the 5 docs are “speakers”, this job is a joke and should be investigated. Enjoy your sexual favors as well prostitution

 

I hope you’re right to be honest. I work on the Derm side and was actively looking for a new job before they announced the merger. My territory is terrible and they haven’t done anything new with Otezla in almost 4 years. I’m actually praying I get laid off so I can collect the amazing severance package they are offering. Already have a job lined up thank god.

 

I work here now and couldn’t agree more. I hope I get laid off and leave with a chunk of money. My territory is impossible. I went from pres club to nothing because this volume shit is so ridiculous. Unless u call on 150 docs you have no shot. So many people are unhappy unless you are a Texas rep. The reps with 50-60 docs can’t comoete. Territory alignment is a joke. N yes so many people have brought this logical point up and they could care less.

Who the hell is this hedge fund guy? And why is he trying so hard to get this merger called off?? GO AWAY!

 

Jeffery Smith of Starboard is buying up a ton of BMS stock so he can put his people on their board of directors and vote “No”on the merger. This is bullshit! We want this buyout to happen jerk!

It better happen! I really want to see both of the Celgene facilities on Morris Ave close up! Buying the 88 acre campus a few years ago was an example of arrogance and too much cash coming in from pricing Rev so high. This was actually the final straw that has sent Celgene on a downward slide. Too many arrogant people at all levels! You deserve to be put in your place. Bring on BMS and let the games begin! Too the good people at Celgene, I hope it works out for you.

Hit the nail on the head! Inequitable was an adjective of choice. This division was like a giant high school prom committee lead by womanizing dirtbags. Arguably, I&I will be known as the biggest embarrassment of a division ever. Please let my path cross with some of these douches as they are looking for jobs.

 

CEO etc are all weak.

Ive been complaining for awhile that its a conflict of interest that Alles was on the BOD and also the CEO.

Then he shops us out to another pharma company JUST as I get promoted to a job with 30k equity grants each year.

And he walks with more money than Ill see in my life.

 

BMS wont be any different.

Senate hearing on high drug prices explained everything theyre going to do to remedy high drug list price.

Basically? Get rid of PBM rebates that pass on most of the cost to the patients.


What this means for us? Not much other than higher premiums every month for health insurance.

 

The deal appears to be closer to becoming a reality. Don’t think too many of us will be retained.

 

BMS side here. I think BMS leadership would have to be really stupid to ignore all of the expertise in haematology that Celgene has.
