The NSM has brought out the worst in some of management. Managers should coach to bring out the best in us rather than showing us their how condescending they can be. That’s like management 101. I guess that’s not something they or Human Resources thinks is important

Management is the worst here. Kicking myself for taking this job over another.

For those interviewing ask the manager for their roster and then call the reps on their team and ask them what it’s like to work for BDSI.
If they are not willing to give you their roster so you can talk with the team then proceed with caution.

Look on LinkedIn and message people if the mgr won’t give you a roster.

Why would you want to work for someone like that to begin with?

They lie about everything. They lie about everything from bonus to how great the new mileage app is. This place is nothing but b-listers. I fucking kick myself every day for accepting this offer and believing my managers load of bullshit. I can’t wait to get out of this b-list shit hole.

Plesha’s little toadie Patton needs to go. No leadership or people skills. He’s running the west into the ground.

The quick shift in management attitudes indicate panic. The drug isn't doing well early in the and they freak out. It's the cost of a car payment for medicare people in some cases and they haven't met their deductible this early in the year..... Back to the old ways of PIPs and threatening to fire people in the bottom 1/2 of rankings.

So are people being put on PIPS already?

There are always threats. You’re a hero one quarter and treated like a fucking dog the next. No one is safe.

Threats and panicked managers are true. Growth flattened because of massive adjustment to changing managers, territories, mileage program=huge admin time waster, benefits, distracting RALs, etc...on top of copay resets, winter weather, government shutdown. Absent further "realignment" and "optimization", they may be able to resume the growth trend of last year.

Doubtful because Belbuca has hit it’s plateau. The amateur marketing and amateur management at this company have squeezed everything they can out of this molecule. Oh and last but not least we in the sales force aren’t motivated. Maybe it’s the incorrect data on the spreadsheets or fronting our own cash for the company or getting screwed on bonus and mileage or the constant verbal beatdown from our manager individually and to the team based on the inaccurate spreadsheet data
or the nonstop GroupMe messages at all hours of the day and night and weekends. BDSI management makes it clear that we, the sales force, is their LEAST VALUABLE asset and it shows in how we are treated. I know A LOT of people who are actively interviewing for anything out there myself included just to get out of this toxic negative culture. It’s not healthy and no way to live.

The stock is beginning to trend in the wrong direction. Investors not just the employees are losing confidence in BDSI.

You don’t pay me enough to study on my time so I’m studying on your dime.

Constant verbal beat down for sure because growth is never fast enough. Managers focus on only negative metrics. Never a kind word about anything positive. Treatment like that gets real old, real fast. Got some vacancies now, many more to come without a culture reset. Vote with your feet if the conditions do not improve.

With a film count goal of 6.4k no one is going to make bonus.

Recruiter here: It’s easy to sift through the whiners and sift out the truth about companies on CafePharma. It explains why I am seeing so many resumes from current BDSI reps in my inbox. I’ve spoken to many. You have a lot of good people. It’s a shame you do not value them.

We value sales. We pay our reps to sell. If they don’t make their numbers quarter over quarter they need to go. It’s as simple as that.
