    i made the huge mistake last year of taking this position thinking they would offset such low pay with bigger commissions for the “go-getters”. Again, HUGE MISTAKE! I do like lab sales but this is not lab sales but used car tactics to run in and shove information at our customers. Nothing to do with relationship selling. So wonder MDL has such a poor reputation in the medical community. Run!

    AGAIN.........it's all VT. She created these asinine policies. She lies. She makes shit up. She talks about you behind your back. This is an incredibly immature person. Nobody has taken something that could have been good and turned it into shit. All of this with EM smiling approvingly.

    little d.......the way you flap your scurvy gums you'd think you're making tens of millions of dollars. oh, wow. your trophy case is really that empty and you really do lead a sad, depressing and pathetic life. well, you continue to live with your parents. wear your little propeller cap. fly paper airplanes with your hands in the air and pretend you're on a private jet with a champion marble shooter and you're jet-setting off into the horizon to save the world. btw.......when are you going to share with us what exactly you sell. what's your territory? oh, wait. let me guess. you can't tell us because you're a secret super agent for the government just like cody banks.

    Take it for what its worth, but look at any articles, opinions and / or threads on here or Glassdoor or any other site. It ALL leads back to VT. She's ruined lives ( not just professional ) and ruined the reputation and morale of a company that could have been great......not just good. She had no prior experience, but EM insisted she was the best one for the job. She's left a wake of chaos and destruction ( not just professional ). She's in dire need of long term therapy ( possibly has or is receiving this ). I was in absolute shock when I was working there. VT actually made things up about people. Talked behind their backs. Created upside down logic rules and commission plans. MDL has the highest turn around for reps in the industry. EM care? Does the fact his company is the laughing stock in the entire lab industry concern him? Based on his continued decision to keep VT the answer is no. So sad. VT also knows she's made an army of enemies who have mostly all gone on to further their careers in the lab industry that she cannot get a job outside MDL. I Ulpan La-lnyan EM will know this Hebrew word. VT will probably try to fire anyone she suspects knows Hebrew.

    i have been trying to get out for a year now and crickets. The recruiter told me honestly that I will have a hard time in the lab industry because nobody wants to touch a former MDL employee. Open territories for new business??? This business model went away years ago because it was a disaster. MDL doesn’t give a hoot about its people only getting specimen in the door if only for the short-term. We usually screw it up on the service side. I’m gone!

    Reps get credit for accounts for only 1 year then all credit goes to the company only. Not sure how it's done now, but it used to be account managers had to pay $500 for each account that left. Had to list mdl on my auto insurance. Used to get $250 a month in gas. Dumbest thing I ever witnessed. Most reps just stopped going out after they spent the $250. Had to pay out of pocket if you bought lunch for more than 10 people. Ok. Reps just didn't list anyone after 10. Seriously..........somebody anybody tell me just one other company that does things like this. This doesn't take into account all the back stabbing, talking behind backs, making things up about somebody. Unprofessional and most immature environment anywhere. ALL of this goes back to vt. She has single handedly destroyed this company. There are far too many other examples to list. unfortunately, this seems to be the case. as more time goes by the more negative mdl's reputation becomes. Most recruiters ( not all ) when they see you worked at mdl won't read any further. your resume just got placed on the top of the trash heap. More importantly, most recruiters know of VT. Over the course of 15 years think of how many enemies in the lab industry vt has made. i would say 60 - 70% of the reps currently at mdl are looking and engaging in interviews. i would love for someone to argue how mdl is a great place to work and and great place to further your career. provide examples. give numbers. how much is mdl doing a year now?

    MDL’s revenue and specimen counts have consistently decreased over the past 5 years. Now they have lost the United contract. Their two largest clients in TX are about to switch everything to other labs. EM and MA want to do away with paps which will result in the loss of more accounts. How they are sill in business is a mystery to us all. Between VT and her uneducated mini-me BB there is no way good reps will stay. BB is just as insecure as VT and just as much of a backstabber. She will lie about people just to try to make herself look good/better in VT’s eyes. Puppet on a string comes to mind. Too bad EM doesn’t read these post anymore. I wonder if he is clueless or just stupid. Nobody in their right mind would keep VT around for as long as he has.

    Great insight. They say companies tend to take on the personality of the CEO. Since EM has given VT complete reign for the sales department think how the sales department is run. BB not go to college? High turn around with reps? Upside down logic with rules that VT implements? I have never known or seen or even heard of another person who is more vindictive than VT. A personality trait like that has got to affect her personal life too. She is extremely immature and insecure because she knows she doesn't have the skill set or personality to make POSITIVE changes so in her mind she is trying to compensate. The sooner EM gets rid of her the sooner MDL can turn around. EM can get a true professional to run things. When the day comes and EM FIRES VT.....I can't imagine how many proverbial boots will be kicking her in the ass on her way out. NO one person is more despised any where than VT. Does EM ever talk to reps alone? He used to fly out to some of them and ride along. Funny, the ones he took a strong liking to VT managed to make them look incompetent and fired them. Like the show The Apprentice..........hundreds of good people are waiting for EM to say to VT.........YOU'RE FIRED!!!!!!

    who are their 2 biggest clients in texas? do you know why they are leaving? if they do away from doing paps what will they sell? any idea on what their annual revenue is around?

    After one year with this company, I wake up feeling that I am selling aluminum siding at Sear’s. Surprised they have stayed in business this long. Just get in, get the sale, move on. No client relationships.

    and.......why the hell would someone who was an account manager go to be sse? you already have seen the chaos and upside down logic vt implements. ive' seen many resumes over the years. i know i have talked to quite a few recruiters who won't even look at you if they see mdl on your resume. you'll get passed over. you can someone named vt for this. she's completely and absolutely destroyed mdl's reputation. it's now radioactive....toxic. just like the environment she created.

    Apparently, it’s still the joke of the industry. They go in and poach some of the accounts, and then when they can’t deliver on service or supplies, they move to the next poor target. Wow!

    WAIT A MINUTE! YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT WHEN MY MA OR NP HAS A MEDICAL QUESTION, SOME SALES PERSON IN PODUNK, AR IS THROWING AN ANSWER BACK IN A GROUP CHAT! THAT IS THE STANDARD METHOD OF MEDICAL SERVICES PROVIDED! LIABILITY IS HUGE FOR SOMEBODY. I AM GLAD THAT JETHRO HAS ALL THE ANSWERS NEEDED FOR TESTING WITH THAT 6th GRADE EDUCATION!

    How do we know this information is verified then? I assumed that a medical director was fielding our questions and we made testing decisions based on these findings. These answers surely aren’t coming from someone with NO MEDICAL DEGREE on any kind. I look forward to the rep’s next visit because they will spend their time removing their supplies from MY offices. This is insanity!

    What is more insane is trying to make a decent living while this company forces you to pay their insurance, no 401k, and hire you for the sole purpose of getting a quick sale and moving on. MDL has the integrity of a door knob. I know, why don’t I leave. I have been trying to do just what but with 3 years of MDL (veteran at this dump), they aren’t breaking down the door to hire me!

    Why wait? Notify your favorite mdl rep to clean up their supplies in the next 48 hours. If a no-show.......let mdl management know anything with mdl name on it or deposited by mdl will be garbage. this brilliant decision and others was thought up by our Dear Leader vt. Please.........spread the word. Almost every rep is trying to get out. mdl is not even a third rate lab.
