Who's running the show?

I am trying to be polite as possible and seek to find information. A lot of processes and operational matters are not functioning well. IC, Irep, IT, and many big mistakes within marketing. We had the misspelling recall & printing errrors. What is going on? Car downgrades?

In order to run the show it is important to have experience directing and delegating rather than trying to micromanage everything from the top. Good efficient companies exist because the leaders lead and get out of the weeds where the snakes are.
As I see this rudderless ship drifting on an ocean of opportunity it appears the captain is trying to tell the helmsman where to steer, tell the navigator what the charts are showing, and showing each sailor what they are doing wrong each and every day. Pity that this company has drifted so far off course.

Typos on marketing pieces, wrong phone numbers for pharmacy support, IC and Sales Ops issues, etc, etc.
They just had their Sales Ops director quit again. The IC manager quit. IT is outsourced, so I don't know what expectations Otsuka is willing to except.

Seems as though the standards for excellence or even just "pretty good" are lowered. For some people here, they have just one job, and they screw that up. Lots of meetings, no accountability, and no consequences. As long as the sales machine keeps making the numbers look good, Japan doesn't care.

To continue the nautical analogy, it is a rudderless ship but the oarsman merely need to keep track of the number of strokes. They track it on a spread sheet and send it in after each day. The captain reviews the spread sheet, ignores the wind, tides, and direction of the ship heading but puts the slower oarsman on plans.
His admiral over the fleet applauds his bold actions and promotes him to another boat going nowhere.

    Brilliant!!! Absolutely true!!

Never met an RSD here who was worth his salt. Ego above competence!! Besides, who really needs them?? Totally outdated sales force structure!!

Leadership put a lot of pressure on the home office to deliver in a frenzy. Demanding everything at once at double the volume to create contingency plans. No surprise it led to mistakes across all units. The pace is set by the ones in charge. There’s no transparency. Looking busy is important and it hides their own incompetence. Looming layoffs too.
