So, who else has an incredibly weird/ridiculous/psycho RD? Where in our corporate overview does it state that to be an RD, they will only promote the craziest, most brainwashed robots they can find???

    My manager is super psycho.

-Makes me meet them at 6am so they can ride “with” me to our breakfast two hours away.

-Still won’t leave until 5pm on the dot even if we started almost three hours early.

-Truly believes that super aggressive calls are the best calls.

-Shares their religious beliefs CONSTANTLY during ride days.

    -Possesses exactly ZERO social skills.

-WORST salesperson I’ve ever seen! Watching them “sell” in a call with me is like torture - for me AND the doctor!

-Has gotten me *almost* kicked out of offices numerous times.

-Role plays with me before calls like I haven’t been doing this for YEARS!

-Kisses corporate A$$ so much you’d think their lips were surgically attached to GC’s posterior.

Let’s hear your worst RD stories - mine can’t be the only one!

Ditto on the religious beliefs AND every ride along there’s some rendition of “men and women’s roles” in marriage.

Wow, can’t say I’ve had a religious talk with mine, but I can guess who yours is. I wonder how many decent ones there are? Of the 24, are 5-6 alright?

I do hear horror stories about 4-5 of them that seem to be very consistent.

This was pretty consistent across the board early on. I thought it had gotten better through natural selection and many of the crazy RDs being weeded out, but looks like there’s still a few hold outs.

My theory on these guys is that at one time they were good sales people. They knew and understood the balance between finesse and assertiveness that goes into influencing customers. But now they have been “managers” for too long. They have gotten used to people doing what they say simply because they have to. So when they go to coach they really do think that being aggressive will yield results, but they forget that offices and physicians do not have to do what we say; they need to want to.

There’s good and bad RDs out there, I’m now on my third RD. The first cared but wasn’t capable, the second was horrible in every aspect, my current RD is truly a blessing.

I really thought having anonymous surveys last year on RD performance from a reps perspective was a healthy step to keep these looney RDs in check.

I guess I’m confused why we as reps haven’t been given this opportunity to speak anonymously regarding our RDs in a survey this year? Leads me to believe that the mothership doesn’t really care how rampant some of the RDs have become.

I think these are mostly rds. Take them with a grain of salt. They’re just bored

Yesss. Sounds very familiar. I’d love to know why my manager was fired from Shire but then was hired at Supernus by some of the same people who fired him?!

You should really call HR or the hotline. The religious part of this should not be happening. Assuming the man/woman roles is the same RD. Not okay.
If they’re doing it to you they’re probably doing it to everyone. Going to make good people leave if they haven’t already.
    Save yourself and others.

The ride days with the pill popping bible salesman are borderline harrassment... record him and report him

I think it’s really creepy that they have to ride in the car with us. It makes me uncomfortable. The company gives them a car. Why don’t they drive? I don’t get the religious talks, but my RD tries to dive into every aspect of my personal life and I feel like he has no right. Once I had a previous RD send work things through Facebook messenger. We’re not even friends so he had to look me up. I blocked him. I’m a personal person and need work/personal boundaries. Ride alongs are torture

You would think forcing us to be that close to them all day would be an HR nightmare. I guess not enough people feel like they can speak up. We all know that it would come back to bite us. We all know people where nothing happened until the rep left for another company.

Cleveland’s RD refuses to call in sick and doesn’t care if his reps get it. I’ve heard stories about him riding along knowing he had whooping cough

    YESSS!! That happened!

I agree with this sentiment. No real issues w my rd other than annoying and out of touch (docs tend to put up with so not too bad), but I thought ride alongs in car were weird when I first started.

Couple that with the poa rooming situation and it just all seems so backwards.

I don’t know which RD they’re talking about, but if you want a good laugh, look up Supernus on Shire’s old CP. Hilarious

Does your RD make you certify before every POA? I think it’s ridiculous. Most of our team has been here for five years or more.

It’s insulting to us, especially when we hear that other teams don’t have to certify and were told it wasn’t required by corporate.

So this is yet another instance of our RD kissing corporates behind.

But now that I’ve posted this, what do you want to bet that instead of saying we are adult professionals and that no one has to certify, they make it mandatory for everyone. That’s the Supernuts I know!

That’s because they want you to sound as much like a timeshare salesman as possible lol. Can’t wait until the new stuff hits the market.

You think the new stuff is on the horizon lol. They have had enough data to file an NDA with the FDA since the end of last year. Yet here we sit waiting to file. It's laughable how poorly this has been handled by the mothership.
