They have had layoffs every 3-6 months for the past 6 years. You just don’t hear about them because they don’t have to go public if under 500 employees (I think that’s the number). They also give them stupid code names like gemstone.

 

For MA WARN law, it’s only required to be publicly reported if over 250 employees are laid off, or any layoff total if 25% or greater of the total in-state workforce. Large companies can get away with a bunch of small trimmings spaced out.

 

This is confirmed by my brother who works at McKinsey. Get ready and buckle up.
