    Hopefully no one voted for Achaogen. Ouch.

    Nabriva could be 2.0

    Achaeogen is closing it's doors in a matter of weeks. They are done.

    Nabriva doesn't have the capital.

    Shionogi is having some issues with their cephalosporin.

    The annual report says this division will be sold within a year.

    Good luck with that.


    The only activity in the ABX space in the past two years is Melinta buying up the Medicine's company dog products.....and that hasn't done a damn thing for Melinta. Still dogs. Stock worth crap and everyone wants out.

    Blech.

    Is this really going to happen? Doesn't seem like anyone is left to buy us that would want the sales force and drugs. To much $$$$

    That’s why shinogi would be best..they can keep the salesforce, but our drugs is another story...

    How many consecutive years have the people in this division worked under the threat of layoffs of sell off? It seems like Sanders came in with “Project Rejuvenate” six years ago and few - if any - employees have gone half a year since without being threatened with a layoff. I could see putting up with this crap when BS was pulling the wool over Wall Street’s eyes and was artificially driving the stock price up to almost $350.....options made it worth while to stick around then. But what possible reason is there to keep working in this shit show environment now? I understand starting a new job is tough, but I haven’t met many former allergen of forest people that regret leaving. Many may mention how much they loved the company at one point (often a decade or more ago), but none seem to miss anything about the culture that as been established the past 6-7 years. I understand getting a separation package is nice, but unless someone is close to retirement age I cannot imagine why anyone would want to work in this environment. Your company has made it so clear they do not want you or your division any longer. How toxic...

    Ugh, you are right. I can only speak from my perspective. I have been here since the Forest days of 2000. It was a great time. Remnants of the Forest days remain in the hospital division - which also worked against us because this same management made us launch TF as if it were a primary care drug. I am guilty of staying. I have a manager who leaves me alone and that's half the battle. To risk going to another company only to end up with an arsehole of a manager is not something I am willing to risk right now. It's my own fault. I know so many people that have moved on to greener pastures and they have all done better...especially in the salary dept. This company doesn't pay well, no do they appreciate the work that we do. I know I'll either wake up one day being told that I have been severed or that the division has been sold.

    Don’t think anyone will buy. Especially after the announcement email yesterday. A lot has changed since I was last in that group

    So the question(s) become: “How long until Senior Management believes it would be more profitable to cease in-person promotion, shifts a fraction of “rep” cost into journal ads and similar non-rep marketing/sales tactics, and attemptS to recoup as much of their investment as possible?” Another strategy may be dramatically reduce expenses (cease rep-driven promotion) hoping to artificially boost the AI franchise profitability with goal of baiting a potential buyer. Both scenarios ends badly for the reps and sales management.

    Wow, AI sounds like such a fun division to work in....

    Great idea, but unlikely to happen. The only good thing that has come from this is less budget money so I don't have to waste my time doing 6 programs a quarter. I haven't done a dalba program in ages!

    And this is what I hate most about when big announcements are made...tons of speculation like the post above. Look at all the other threads with everyone saying who/what division will be let go. And to think we will have to deal with this until at least the end of the year...ugh!
