Otezlas sale is contingent to receiving approval for the merger.

I don't think they're going to just sell otezla flat out to merge, they can draw up contracts that only allow the obtaining company to buy otezla if the deal closes.

Would be very very risky for celgene to just divest.

If the purchasing company does not adopt the severance agreement you can resign for good cause, if they do and they do not do anything like lower pay then a good cause severance will be hard to get.

If the purchasing company adopts severance agreement but then lowers salaries you can resign for good cause.

They aren't just going to give you money.

They may give you a retention bonus when you sign on. Other than that I wouldn't count on obtaining the severance. Unless it's cheaper to get rid of you than keep you... I.e. beginning employees or employees who have been here for 20+ years

New closing date Nov 1st. Great news, hope this means they have an Otezla buyer lined up

I just want it delayed so I can order another large SUV. Bristol cars suck ass and wherever we end up is probably just as bad.

Also, I'm trying to adopt a kid so I can take off another 4 months.

Damn, Celgene was the place to be.

When would we get the equity grant? That does sound like a good deal to wait

Jan 15 is when my rsus vest from this year. I'd expect it to be in Jan if it were to happen

”if it were to happen?”...it’s going to happen, sooner than you think.

I meant the Equity grants. Not the closing of the buyout.

Well it looks like they are hoping to close ithe deal October or early November. Has anybody heard a more definitive date? I would anticipate the Amgen deal to close immediately after.

Your time frame is exact for deal closure. The actual merging of field forces and home office staff will take months to happen. Good luck to everyone. This will be good for many many people.

luckiest son's of bitches out there are the Otezla reps - they get the double trigger for their equity- they get BMY's artificial boost to the stock - and they don't have to be BMY(big Pharma mentality, little Pharma talent) - and to top it all off, they get to go the the best benefits company in biotech -Amgen.

What are they forecasting at Celgene re: work force redux on R&D side?
