Yes 5-6 people from the Amgen contract went over. It a company car. No drug indication yet. Just account profiling and disease state awareness.

contract job for drug that is 9-12 months away
    micromanagement hell
no bonus till drug is approved...if ever

Then what would they have people do while waiting for drug to be approved?

Also, there’s no way the base could only be $85... Direct reps are being offered 120k give or take (maybe more). Has anyone heard any more on salary, start date, training, etc?

I was told the salary range was 85-95K. If you believe what is posted on the Intercept thread then direct hires are being offered 120-140. I have not worked for a contract company before, however, that is a huge difference in compensation.

If you can get a job with the intercept expansion go for it. The Syneos contract jobs are terrible. Micromanaging fools and low pay. People are already bailing with lots more to come.

No Shit Genius!! Who in their right mind would prefer to go contract over being employed by the actual company!!?? What a stupid post.

I think the point was to ONLY take the position if you could land it with the actual company. Don't risk going with Syneos.

The Intercept drug has too many side effects. It will be overpriced and payers will put up lots of obstacles. All the liver treaters are waiting for the allergan drug. Their data is a lot stronger.

"It will be overpriced" - so you have insight to pricing on a drug before its approval??? Also, when your alternative may be a liver transplant how do you categorize "drug has too many side effects" ???

Plenty of offers have gone out, many territories still open.

Most openings have been filled, but still opportunities. Enjoy what I am doing, however, Intercept is challenging to work with - small, with minimal sales experience.

Majority of reps already looking for another job.

AND... That pace will increase dramatically after today's announcement. Not sure if this is a Syneos issue or an Intercept, however, it may end up being a excellent example of how to screw up a great opportunity.

What happen? What was the announcement? I’m considering an FRM role but I’m seeing a lot of negativity.
