Curious on this role as I have heard it pays very little and they are not looking for experienced reps. Any truthful insight? What is the most they woukd pay for this role? Also i see the drug is not yet approved .
Pays $75K, bonus will be lower as it’s only one drug. No experience needed and unless the internal candidates are brain dead ( completely possible) outside applicants have ZERO chance. And yes drug isn’t approved. The entire thing is bullshit. They are trying to keep people from leaving because we all know everyone will be canned after the Abbvie deal closes.
No, that’s per year , This will mainly be calling on primary care in a generic market, Insurance will require patients to fail three generic migraine drugs before they would even be allowed to try this new branded expensive Allergan migraine drug. Hearing 80 K max salaries this is low compared to other big neurology companies, But 80% of calls are the primary care
This acute CGRP drug will be 2nd to market behind Biohaven’s acute CGRP oral tablet which is due to be approved in Dec. 80% of the call points will be to primary care.
Don't forget Eli Lilly's acute migraine drug was approved last Friday. Another IV CRGP coming from Lundbeck early 2020 as well.
Botox for migraines is the easiest drug/medication you will ever sell. Lot of competition coming into the market but very easy to sell against. Allergan used to be a good company but still has old Forrest/Actavis leadership which has ruined its reputation. The Botox franchise however still has good people but run very old school and the entire company would benefit with a newer school approach to running the business. They do however create reps that are trained well but the low compensation makes them just a stepping stone.
So funny how predictable Cafe Pharma can be....all lies and negatively. The truth 100k-120k base with great bonus potential. Myself personally, 5-6 years in pharma 3 at specialty. 100k salary and roughly 50k in bonus (Top 30%). I know reps that will make 100k in bonuses this year. It’s a great opportunity for hungry specialty reps. If you’re an old entitled rep looking to coast for a 150k salary, then it’s not for you.
Old entitled rep here. Making $210k at plan. You work twice as hard and for way less dough. Let’s see if you ever become an older rep. Your days in Pharma are numbered.
Back to the OP! I think the differentiation here is between the upcoming legacy Forest launch of ubrogepant acute pills and the legacy Allergan chronic migraine injection Botox. Are there any teams selling both? I can tell you for certain, the Forest side pays far less. They’re geared toward PC.
