Can someone shed some light on what a new hire for the Allergan women’s health position would look like in light of this Abbvie merger? After reading the GI merger thread I can understand redundancies and merging and lay offs but if there’s no overlay between the companies, if that’s correct, I would assume that’s a better scenario?

They have been trying to sell women’s heath to a different company for at least a year. Get hired to try to get the one year severance and then find something else

Oh interesting. So that wouldn’t be rolled into Abbvie merger? I did hear about the one year severance. I’m employed with another pharma company as a CSO just looking at options. Any chance it would get folded into the Abbvie merger?

gotta do your homework. Abbvie has a Women’s Health team and over 250 reps with just 1 product that is supposed to be their future but won’t. Don’t bank on a year severance because no one will get one. A restructure will happen before it, they have it all figured out. Highly doubt Allergan team will he kept over theirs, unlikely.

our only hope was if AbbVie let us run with the upcoming fibroid indication for orilissa. They are training their reps early next year for that launch. I’m sure there will be a lucky few who AbbVie keeps but that’s about it.
