Such an emotional roller coaster. I am not even sure if I want to be retained or want to just leave. Setting up for lots of interviews. Hoping the best case scenario, to get severance, and a new job right away, if not retained. Praluent is an AMAZING drug I am saddened that so many people will never get a chance to get the benefits, perhaps they will at least get put onto Repatha. Maybe not. Competition is good for American medicine. It sucks that our upper management could not figure their way out of the the preverbal wet paper bag since Day 1! Let's think about what all has happened. I know there are a lot more things that are not on this list, please feel free to add them. In no particular order:

    1. Not knowing UM criteria at Launch.
    2. Not understanding the UM criteria once it came out.
    3. Not having FAS at launch.
    4. Not doing anything about Repatha FAS writing up all of the Repatha submissions. Not something that Regeneron or Sanofi felt was HIPPA complaint, and perhaps not even legal?
    5. Use the HUB.
    6. HUB sucks
    7. Too much ego saying that we "Had to win the lawsuit" rather than spending the money on marketing our product.
    8. Get rx to Specialty Pharmacies.
    9. HUB finally getting hang of how to do this. So, lets fire the HUB, put in a new HUB, and start the bad processes all over again.
    10. Specialty Pharmacies starting to drop out from doing PCSK9-i
    11. Other SP start. HUB still sucks.
    12. Couldn't we have just paid a royalty, stopped the lawsuit, and saved patients lives? Nope, gotta win.
    13. No decent managed care contracts.
    14. Criteria starting to change.
    15. Managed Care contracts starting to look better.
    16. Only to lose other contracts in the process!
    17. SP's get frustrated with the process and stop processing PCSK9 because its taking too much of their time.
    18. Go sell two doses and no latex.
    19. Amgen has outcomes 1 year prior to us. Takes market share.
    20. Sanofi AE's sitting on the as@@s at home and more worried about all their other products. Not doing jack about PCSK9-i contracting
    21. Too stringent insurance criteria revealed and no one to speak to them. Thank you again to the non-existent AE's.
    22. Hopsital reps that were brought on too early, only to be let go, or shifted.
    23. PCP reps brough on too early, only to be let go, RIGHT BEFORE THE RELEASE OF ODYSSEY OUTCOMES! What were you thinking? That's when we needed them!
    24. Lack of sample availability.
    25. No budgets for speaker programs since Q1,
    26. Oh yea, that got balmes on a marketing director who quit or got fired. Glad you got out GD. You saw the writing on the wall!
27 Best thing that happened with this product was National Sales Director PM. Everything went to crap here as soon as he left.
    28. Oh yeah, we were told he went out, perhaps on Medical? And simply NEVER RETURNED. We believe you, NOT. Seriously, when he was not at the National Sales meeting in October, I think we knew.
    29. Nurse educators who worked were great. Then we terminated them too. Seriously?
    30. FAS was very helpful. Then you made their territories multi-state. huh?
    31. We finally lower the price with a new NDC, but don't have any AE's telling the MCO's and PBM's.
    32. SP can't make money anymore, so they stop filling drug at SP and shift to retail. AH, but not all insurance companies have made that shift yet!
    33. OO finally available. Wonderful data! We can make a difference now. Just talk about two doses, and the OO data.
    34. Criteria now easy. Filling at retail. OO data is great. Sales are increasing. Ooh, let's now fire most of both companies sales forces!
    33. Sanofi partnership. I know a lot of people will say a lot of things about this. My Sanofi partnership was fantastic. I would not have traded it for anything! I will miss my partner.
    34. Upper management at REGN not giving a shit about employees. Who calls a teleconference at 755 pm with an email notification, only to host it at 830 pm and basically say everyone is done with their job?? How special was that. DID ANYONE SLEEP AFTER IT?

Please add your comments. I am hoping that we can all find some irony in this. I guess we all saw the writing on the wall. We just believed so strongly in this drug, we didn't want to leave. We will all bounce back with great opportunities. I will take my check at the door. Thank you!

Blame goes directly to Marion, Rich O and Len. Marion and Rich messed up Repatha at Amgen and came to REGN with the same playbook to mess up Praluent. Come to think of it, they ruined the whole class and comodtized the PCSK9s.

When Amgen took us to court we did not fight back.
Our message was terrible and weak.

Instead - doctor they are trying to limit your choice.
We rolled over an played dead,
    The lawsuit killed Praluent.

You missed the biggest mistake of all- Pricing Praluent at 14,000 dollars per year.
Regeneron thought insurance companies would just roll over and pay for a med in a largely generic market and with no outcome data.
If only the company would have bothered to discuss with managed care a workable UM criteria before they
Launched, a lot of this mess could have been avoided.

When they paid the shills 100k plus plus to pretend to do something which ended up being nothing.

fucking greedy and selfish CEO and upper management leadership. The sales force tried to recommend what needed to happen but fell on deaf ears. I hope Im gone. Don't want this anymore and dont' need it. Glad its here. Kind of relieved actually. The list above is very good. Way to go fucking assholes. Adios

Thats right. $14,000 for a cholesterol drug. What a fun%ing joke. Then the price drops to 5800 and they think its such a great deal. So how much does it really cost to produce the shit piece of drug? This was nothing but greed, greed, greed on the part of the leaders of this ship. And everyone knew it. Now who's the joke on? Oh yeah, its on us-the sales force because Len and company still continue to gouge with other agents. Karma will hit at some point. Never fails

How about our weekly data never matching up with Sanofi. How could I be at 107% and my Sanofi counterpart at 90%. My bonus was always hire than my counterpart and she worked as hard as me. How about Lens complete disconnect to us last 2 years and Marion( really) incompetence at its best.
Why spend millions on patent and then let Amgen continue the pegging on us. This was comical pharma at its best.

The Hub was the first sign this was going to be a mess. 13 people working in a sweatshop in Memphis was really going to handle paperwork from offices from all over the country. 3 hours in at launch they were 3 weeks behind in paperwork. Fax lines busy or continued ringing and nobody answering. And let's talk about the promises we made and the anger offices had for reps when we would come in to put out fire. Len and Marion wouldn't of lasted a week in bv the field back then. Regeneron and Sanofi answer was we were spending too much time with process and not enough of dosing and efficacy. More meetings with detailing and beat down sales reps a little more. We got it easier here compared to Sanofi who really kicked and micro the Praluent team bad. Especially the hysterical Regional woman in the south or that crazy 6 ft 5 VP Fink shrieking at us from the stage. This could go on for hours here in with all the debacles. In then salesforce took one in the temple. How could a drug like this end up like this. Maybe Bernie Sanders is right. Pharma companies are greedy and corrupt.

internal analysis proved that the failure was due to poor reps spending too much time on social media complaining. Case closed and this site proves it

Nice comeback Regeneron launch genius. The entire blame for what happened is squarely on management of both companies for the piss poor analysis of UM criteria, guidelines , management care incompetence, lack of knowledge in SP arena along with non-reporting SP's and always being 3 steps behind Amgen in everything. What about taking the lead one time in dropping the price before Amgen did?? How about AMGEN RAS doing all the work in offices with PA's and everyone was told not to report the legality of this . Just let the reps take it in the ass for 4 years . Every single executive ,DM, RBL's VP's and Home Office jerkoff the had anything to do with decision making with Praluent should be taken into a barn and horse fucked to no end. Marion your reservation had been made for first in line and Len next to go. Happy Trails

You and the OP are so right. But, don't forget! The 8-10 Million dollar fall costume POA meeting!!! Holy shit.

The costume party was the ONLY thing to look forward to at the yearly meeting!

The money spent on the lawsuit and the Circle Jerk Costume P0A's might have come in handy with samples, lunch and learns, programs etc. Or that waste of a Oydseey Outcome San Diego launch meeting. What a disorganized mess that was. And knowing plans were well on the way for management of both companies to swallow their own loads and gut the reps.

sorry, worked on the math and it was the field. I’m still here and most of you aren’t, so gnaw on that. it showed the hiring philosophy was flawed, sales leaders didn’t stress performance and care and feeding of field outpaced sales. stinging indictment against the field. Ouch

Congrats to those retained. Good luck covering the country, and competing against Amgen. Can't wait to see what happens with Inclisirin hits the market!
