Imagine both. Why wouldn’t you do that for everyone if you are going to implement something like that. You run the risk losing good tenured people who’ve been successful selling. You figure the company would want to keep and secure them in order to train and teach the AM’s on how they succeeded therefore creating a positive trend as well as a sustainable sales force which in this case, is Applied’s main objective. Could very well end up backfiring.

Well maybe Uncle said will hand them out some stock options and a low interest rate to buy them

I’ll happily receive my retention bonus in a couple days, bc god knows I haven’t made anything this year. I do feel bad for my manager. He deserves one too. Leadership has no idea how much they have ruined these middle managers. My guy is so checked out he doesn’t answer my calls anymore. I’d feel bad for my IS too, but that guy is making 20k more than me every quarter. He sits by his pool all winter and waits for me to call him.

This company is a joke. I understand many of you probably needed a job because you were let go from your prior company (because no one WANTS to actually come here. No rep or manager is banging on Applied’s door like Medtronic, Stryker or JNJ begging to get in), but come on.......do your homework next time and make better life choices. You get what you deserve.

Happy New Year to you too! Don’t hate bc Applied wouldn’t hire you. Try making the money I make selling trocars anywhere else sucka!

Let’s be real. No one at applied actually works more than 2 days a week unless it’s one of those zone meetings that wastes a whole week of gym and golf.

just wait, voyant will be on a GPO soon and no one will work more than 3 days a week and make good money.

Ask these guys that have been there 10 years plus why the stay here... high base expenses covered and no pressure to hit a number. Can’t get fired at applied as long as you can show you tried.

Voyant has done a mega belly flop and if you think that stapling or whatever they 510(kopycat) next will make you money you are living in fantasy land. I left last year for a real device company and I made more in 9 months than I did for two years at Applied. I exceeded quote in 6 of the 8 quarters at Applied. The grass is much greener fellas. MUCH greener.

Don’t hear anyone complaining about the comp plan. Does that mean you losers are going to finally go sell something?

These punks will find something to complain about. How about those retention bonus?!?!?! Or was that another scam

Seriously! This company follows on its word. Best management. Best training. Best product Pipeline in the industry. And we’re made in America! Wouldn’t want to be apart of any other organization...

No manager, GM, VP has MBA or real business degree from Ivy League like JnJ and Medtronic. ZERO pipeline. Explain GPOs first ass clown. Can’t sell them cause u have 2 fat pigs working them. And lack of Strategy here.

I will say I’ll make $175k selling everything but Voyant because it’s a cheap knock off. At least their are surgeons that never seen a balloon on a trocar. Hahahaha stfu you clown posting on here.

What's funny to me is how you all think a retention bonus is real income. Granted it's money and no one turns cash down. But why doesn't Applied's competitors don't offer retention bonuses? Because they don't need to. They pay on a real comp plan that doesn't get jacked around quarter by quarter. And it's cheaper to pay you all to stay than it is to train 100+ newbies every year.

You know this may end up being a good time to be at Applied. With the corona-chan ripping across China with no end in sight(I'm unsure if it's from the disgusting food or if it's a bio-weapon that was released, evidence for both, but that's for /pol/ boards and not this one) I think we may see an economic recession. Especially if the virus shuts down the Pacific shipping lane. Remember, China is the biggest supplier to our retarded consumer population we have here. Economy dips, hospitals are trying to save a buck and Voyant(with the aid of corona-chan) provides them their answer. Now on the flip side if the economy does tank this could be a spark that ignites the Boogaloo....if that's the case you better hope you live in South, Midwest or in a rural area or things may not be too peachy.

    Boogaloo???

    The Mississippi half step????

    • I'm not the poster about the Boogaloo, but I doubt you know what the poster was meaning by using that term. I agree 100% that Voyant blows, there's no denying that. Voyant is going to be what sinks Applied, we all know that. But I'm 99% sure that the poster isn't referring to a dance style....I mean the reference to /pol/ is pretty much a dead giveaway.....
