Nothing new, if memory serves there was one national meeting where we booked 2 weeks before.

such an ignorant douche. You have NO clue what a meeting with close to 1000 attendees costs to plan and execute.

mad far as the $billion we net for Empa, don’t forget we have an alliance that we share it with and the product is severely discounted. So that $billion figure can easily be cut in 1/2.

bw happy you have a job and a company car.

I don’t think anybody is disputing that it’s logistically challenging to hold a large national sales meeting, but the first decision is to have it in a reasonable place that does not symbolize terror, death and utter tragedy.

Ok so Mandalay Bay is proving to be somewhat contentious. So, how about Auschwitz? I know it’s a bit further travel wise but if we are looking for historically significant sites it’s tough to beat this one, and the Germans Should be able to negotiate a good deal here.

For whatever its worth a good friend of mine had their national sales meeting in LV, they too were booked at the Mandalay Bay just this past week. On top of that there were shootings at the Fashion Mall with casualties :(

They had their meeting, enjoyed a nice room apparently (I asked) and came home without allot of fanfare. LV however is the issue now; not the hotel.

LV is a cesspool and all around nasty place to take your company all of the time and always has been. I never feel safe there and as a woman, it's not just about shootings. The recent shootings just highlight what an uncomfortable place it is. I have never understood why a company would want a meeting in a place that only exists because of gambling, prostitution, drinking, drugs and you smoke 4 packs of cigarets just walking to meetings. We must have upper management who are addicted to gambling and prostitution

So what I think you are saying is if we are going to go to a bad place (lv), let’s go the shittiest place there. OK

Try to keep up douche, we split empa and now we get all of Tradjenta. So do the math simpleton, met division is doing roughly a billion. So I think the company will be fine with a national sales meeting particularly after all the tax write offs. The point is for a company this size doing a billion in one division having a national sales meeting once every 3 years and a 1 night regional meeting 1x per year is cheap by any standard. BI does not have a sales culture otherwise they would motivate their reps. But wait, were getting a tshirt at the meeting!

How can a company that touts itself as being a respiratory company, take it's reps to a smoke filled casino for a week long meeting? There are a lot of people with cancer, lung issues, and migraines that are triggered by smoke. It's a health hazard and hypocritical. They can save all of this money and have a virtual meeting. With all of the recent changes, the regions have been together so much over the past few months they don't need to see each other live again. We need to be out in the field selling. There is no launch bonus money for any indication and the goals keep growing so why keep taking us out of the field? I'm a tenured rep and so is 90% of my team. We don't need to role play new scenarios. We all have had them thousands of times. Let us do what you want, make 25B to send to Germany in 2025. Stop getting in our way of leitbelt or whatever it is.

How many people are excited to go to Mandalay Bay? Could they have picked a worse location? I mean really..... Sure there are companies supporters that wanted the fan and the decisions of the organization. But really I mean if you were making the decision would you have chosen Mandalay Bay?

Well we are saving tons of money! Cheap venue. We are also laying off HR people and outsourcing HR to the Philippines. Saving even more dollars to convert to euros.
    Go make us some money!!!
