If you wanted everyone to quit, then congratulations. Thank you for never communicating that you were going to completely F*ck everyone over on their bonus. You have just gave everyone a solid reason to leave. #SAGEWORSTCOMPANYEVER

What happened? No word of this in house among non sales leadership

It’s most valuable to ask around. See what you learn. The original poster is correct.

The field sale force, without notice nor central communication from “they”, just experienced a Three-Card Monte with our incentive compensation plan. I am reviewing the published Q4 plan to see, where in said plan, is it stated that this is permitted?! If anyone finds the verbiage, please post it.

I get it, company sales goals were not met. However, what kinda shady sh*t show doesn’t just say it and makes their RBDs deliver the mess??? This is the kinda thing a Town Hall should absolutely address.

This appears to be an intentional action, done to encourage more field force departures.

Everything at Sage is shady! Before some other idiot says the company didn't reach their goals, we must strongly state the obvious. It was not the field force's fault!!! If a salesperson isn't proved adequate tools, they can't do their job. Sage has a sub par access & reimbursement program that has failed everyone. Sage has a terrible marketing team. Sage has a terrible payer team that is filled with incompetent idiots. There should not be one plan that has a step edit when nothing is approved for PPD! Sage has no transparency and no culture here. All lies from the very beginning. Sell this dog of a company so someone that knows what they are doing can provide strong programs for patients to actually get the drug. Ive never worked for a company where every single coworker I know including manager is looking for another opportunity! Sales leadership should be fired here.

You missed the point, but that’s not at all surprising.

The action, take by the company to reduce payouts, was done in a clandestine manner. The company has yet to communicate anything regarding the decision from above the RBD level.

Transparency? I think not. And also, there are consequences to you if we (“y’all” referenced above) do not meet sales goals. Go enjoy the stale pastry you took from the Town Hall.

I think the biggest mistake that salespeople make today is that they try to pretend they’re not salespeople. Quit blaming everyone else for your poor sales performance! You are in Sales and that means you hit your sales goals or you're FIRED! Simple equation for the sales snowflakes!!

Oh stop being such a trouble maker and shock inducer. We all know what your ill intentions are and why you are on here. You're an idiot and we don't care what you "think." As many other posters have clearly stated, even the best salesperson in the world can't be successful if the company they represent can't provide the proper tools to get the jobs done such as making the product available. Which it clearly is not. This massive fault lies with access to the drug. Patients have been poorly managed by Sage Central and poor payer policies. Now go away little troll.

FAKE NEWS!!! You're either a delusional, arrogant person, which is the mentality that caused the company to be where it is now today. Keep going that way. Good luck!
Or you're a lonely troll who doesn't even work for Sage and need to get a life.

I’m hearing of multiple resignations of field folk this week. More coming next week I’m sure. Low sales means a lack of ability to backfill so increasing pressure on the remaining sales team, which will lead to unrealistic goals and more people leaving. Multiple RBDs managing only 4 people, why can’t half of them become TAMs? Less than 15% of moms enrolled in Sage Central have actually gone on to receive treatment, you want to blame the sales force for that? I don’t think so.

In manufacturing, we have production demand and quality goals that MUST be met or we are let go. Why is the sales force not accountable for their goal performance? Thanks to your sad sack performance, we have plenty of inventory on hand that is costing our company $$$s.
We are all tired of your excuses!! If I was head of sales, the entire sales force would be let go and we can sell our product via internet advertising

Sales can blame market access and marketing and everyone else can blame sales but the truth is that the blame should fall on senior leadership. They have made multiple mistakes along this process which have severely restricted any chance of success. Heads need to roll.

There's no way you work for Sage, otherwise you wouldn't be making these idiotic statements. Even someone with a low IQ would know it's not sales.

Now that is a shocking statistic that underscores a lot; this is an unsustainable position to be in for multiple reasons going forward. It’s very tough to get the referral in the first place; then to have less than 1 in 7 actually get treatment.... wow..

Yes, this is the problem. Referrals are tough to get anyway as a 3 day hospital stay is a tough sell to moms because this is new and it sounds like a big deal to them when it’s originally suggested by the doc. However, we help the doc learn the product and process so they can relay this info to their patients. Then- Sage Central screws it’s up, tells the patient incorrect info, poor communication or way too much communication with the site and docs office and 4-6 weeks later Mom either backs out or it’s determined due to insurance/medicaid/full moon or some other BS that she’s not eligible. Complete Horse S*** if you ask me. How is Sage Central our problem as the field? Getting referrals is our job. We have done that.

It’s sad that they decided to make cuts to the field bonus, mainly because it will make zero difference in the company staying viable or not. This company is running out of money pretty fast. Our bonuses are the least of their problems financially! They could get rid of 1 of our upper management people or a few people in the training department and more than cover the field bonuses moving forward with the savings from the salary alone. Also, the minimal amount of money they took from the field would make a huge impact on morale for the field team. Start pinching away peoples money and they will leave. Maybe that’s what they are hoping will happen so they don’t have to do the dirty work of laying people off or reducing head count because it doesn’t seem like they have the balls to look us in the face and tell the truth. Who knows. Seems kind of pathetic to cut field bonuses when they know we get our teeth kicked in at every turn trying to get these new starts sent in to the hub and deal with all the mess that goes along with the sites/insurance etc. to try and get a patient treated. Lame, Sage. So lame. Praying for a buyout ASAP!

STOP! We must all work together to make our drug and company a huge success. Mnfg should not blame Sales, Sales should not blame Marketing, Access should not blame Pricing, etc., etc., etc.! Our only goal is to unite as a team with the sole purpose of helping patients. If you are not committed to this patient goal, you should leave now. #SageUnitedforPatients
