Being volontold to furlough is called being fired. Not sure why you want to think the company is lying to you when they are willing to pay you not to work. Just say thanks and move along.

So is that the move here then? Volunteer to furlough and hope everything is back to normal in July

No chance things will be back to “normal“ in July. Most effective way to reach offices is via Telephone. I have too offices that won’t see Reps until September, if then.

I'm surprised there wasn't more information provided on the email. Where are the specifics? There wasn't a deadline on when we can tell them our decision. My manager basically told us today that we would be stupid to volunteer to furlough. We all need to understand that close to 50% of us will be furloughed whether we choose to be or not! We're barely on week four and it's clear the company is in deep financial trouble.

    50 percent of who?
I hope they remember that PMRs are the ones who drive the business
Why keep GI when they will be doing nothing but catching up colonoscopies for a very long time. What purpose could we serve there after all of this?

Deep Financial Trouble? Are you Jeff the CFO? You’re a rep. You don’t know shite.

Of course I'm a rep. I have been through the layoff rodeo too many times to count in pharma. This is looking awfully similar. Mark basically stopped short of saying we're getting canned last Friday. Read between the lines people.

That's your problem, the pharma mindset. This man is trying to be transparent. He says what he means to say, don't need to "read between the lines". This ISN'T pharma!!

Not true. The majority of offices are anxious to see patients and will open by June at the latest if they are closed now. They also need the revenue since patient loads are down.

To see patients and not REPS!!!!! The new normal is telehealth.

Every area may be a little different, but that is nonsense that c suites will close reps out! Not going to happen
Why would they? We are no more risk than patients coming in and we provide value. What people want more than anything is a return to normalcy. Many providers I talk to hate Telemedicine . I think you are dead wring on this. My pharma friends are also being told things will go back to normal sooner than later! Why are people here overreacting so much!

I completely agree. I think every area will be different. My providers are also ready to get things back to normal so it will really depend on our patients and how quickly they start to get out. In my area, I would imagine it being quick. We aren’t in a highly infected area so I don’t see our systems keeping us out for longer than May-June at the latest.

“I’m not in an area.” So everything is ok nationwide? That kind of attitude is why this thing is far from over! The states that really drive our revenue will be in lockdown for the foreseeable future. Mark was trying to tell us that last week!! Good luck

I didn’t say nationwide...I said my area. I’m sure others feel the same way. As for revenue, I would think the company would want to let some areas of the country decide for themselves and let the highly infected areas stay home. Even if my area isn’t the biggest territory in the nation, my area still brings revenue into the company which at the end of the day is important. Stop fear mongering. I would love it if they would allow us to decide for ourselves if we should go out come May-June. We can’t be locked down for months.

Will Pfizer contract and jobs be given preference to Exact employees? Seems like if we need to reduce headcount and office sales overlap the best thing to do for Exact employees is get out of this ridiculous Pfizer co-promotion. Has a co-promotion ever gone well?

Yes they should eliminate the Pfizer contract if they want to save money. Why I’m the heck are they paying for Pfizer to duplicate so much of what Exact is doing- duplicate ES SAM/ Pfizer KAM, duplicate ES MSLP/ Pfizer MSL, ES ISR, 1-2 PMR/ 1-3 Pfizer reps, not to mention all the duplicate layers of ES management /Pfizer management. Waste of money. Plus most Pfizer reps aren’t even doing virtual sales calls right now. Is anyone at ES even looking at the data ....if they did they would see Pfizer reps ARE NOT selling Cologuard right now!!! Waste of money and the PMRs aren’t getting a bonus, Did Pfizer get a reduction in the CG bonus, probably NOT!!! BS!!!
