I heard that those that do will go “to the front of the line” when the company opens up. Anyone else heard the same?

Who knows...you may indeed get lucky. Looks like November is the earliest we can return to the field. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of the White House coronavirustask force, said the nation could return to a "degree of normality" by fall. "I would hope that by November we would have things under such control that we could have a real degree of normality."

If it goes to Fall the people that volunteer for furlough might get extended. But there are probably not enough people that signed on to make a difference, small %. So they will have to mandatory furlough at some point. Most everyone will be in the same boat. Too much uncertainty right now. Period.

Who the hell would volunteer for furlough, unless the job is just a hobby. Stupid.

Because there are people that actually care about this company, overall Exact has done the right thing by their employees. Maybe people, that are able, want to give back by taking a short term pay cut, as they are willing to tighten their belt for a while. Beats the alternative which are lay offs for many. This company is very bloated with sales people, considering not much for sales are coming in. Be happy you your still here in the midst of a pandemic and economic downturn, to no fault of Exacts. They will have to make some hard decisions, Most companies would have laid off 50% of the sales force already, and when they launch something new, in the future, hire back then, if needed.

I volunteered to get furloughed also. Exact has always done right by its employees. Now they need us to do right by them. I told HR on Friday that I volunteered. When things get back to normal May 15, I’ll be ready to go.

Field sales are the only ones bringing in income currently. 501 has many departments that could be trimmed and cuts will start there.

Well you are fortunate to be able to take the furlough! Some of us don't have that luxury. I love this company too but am the sole breadwinner and cannot afford to do it
I believe the sales force is adapti g unbelievably fast to our current situation and we are finding new ways to bring business in! I know I am working very hard!
Hopefully it will all pay off
Thank you for the opportunity KC

Let’s not start the Hunger Games here. You could also argue that we could cut 25% of the field and not see a drop in business for a year. I’m pretty sure you don’t know enough about 501 to start picking and choosing which jobs go. We’re all employees here - stick together, do your part, and we’ll get through this stronger and better than we were before.

Stronger, Better, and Much Much Leaner especially at 501.

Whatever you say. You already know all the plans, huh? You seem like a pretty classy guy - hoping for the demise of others.
