I must say I was shocked to hear this news. It is one one of 2 things: Too premature or shows what a debacle we have on our hands. WIll we survive? I sure as heck hope so. We are only in April and being told no bonuses for the rest of the year is tough to swallow. It will hurt individuals in our sales force big time! But I guess this is what we have to do.

Seriously . World pandemic and all you can think about is a no bonus for the rest of this year!?!? Utterly disgusted. Exact took a massive hit...we all will feel it. Why it’s called sales, at minimum .....need to have enough revenue to cover your salary. It’s not happening right now, your an idiot. Be thankful, 75% could be gone without a bat of the eye.

    100% PMR’s, Overlays, and GI’s

That is funny! I heard it is 100 percent of the very easily expendable ISRs and all of their managers.

Are you serious? No bonus for the rest of year? Are you even a sales organization? Lol. Good luck.

That’s selfish of you to only think of yourself and your bonus! Can’t believe you actually said that!

That’s not even what he said. He said no bonus if we miss our forecast for the year. Maybe you’re already planning on missing it, but I’m not.

I’m actually a PMR . The truth is nobody knows , it’s all speculation. What makes the best business sense is to keep the less expensive ISR’s and make massive cuts elsewhere. Hate to say it but it makes the most sense given the current situation. The best we can hope for is a furlough instead of an outright throat slashing.

While furloughing or laying off PMRs would be a cheaper option short term, the truth is that PMRs are leveraging their relationships with the staff to actually get them on the phone to communicate with them. ISRs don't really have a clue when it comes to the office dynamics and won't be as effective during this time when the screening continuum is at such a critical point. If the sales force doesn't perform, then the company sinks very quickly.
Unfortunately, many offices and hospitals are having to furlough their staff because of lack of patients. We have no control over that. While telemedicine is an option, I know HCPs are only doing a handful of those per day and that is not enough to sustain. I would be surprised if we all make it out of this with no layoffs. The truth is that we don't need overlay reps or ISRs. That would trim the fat substantially.

Area Managers should be the 1st to go. It’s a waste of money for them to be on the phone listening to conversations. PMR’s are next. “The Screening Continuum”....wow, the Koolaid is strong. That can be handled by an ISR in a few seconds. We should go to an all Exact ISR sales force and the results would still be the same since we Co-Promote already.

Sorry but do you really work here and know the truth about ISRs
Truth is that model may work in other businesses but us a colossal waste of resources for what we do! All of us have been forced to accept the fact that we have to play the game and deal with them, but the truth is rarely do they contribute much if anything! They don't know anyone in our offices, can't get through to anyone except the receptionist who for the most part blows them off! I hear complaints all of the time asking mr why does this guy keep calling us? They will never compare to a PMR who has developed connections and knowledge for years to gain access! In the interim PMRs are getting through because we have earned those connections. ISRs are the most ridiculous waste of money i have ever seen !

Cologuard sells itself. It’s a Household name that’s on TV every 5 seconds. Now because of the Virus, you’re making a phone call asking them to fax or enter in an order now. Is that brain surgery? PMR’s are getting paid to sit at home now and watch the Price is Right and Young And The Restless. There’s no value and a huge waste of money.

That is a stupid statement. We are expected to make a huge amount of calls and contacts plus trainings, calls with team , incoming calls because yes we do actually have offices call us!
I have not watched TV at all except to catch the news at lunch
Sounds like you are jealous of our immediate success at doing this making other roles here unnecessary
    Get over it

This just shows that you have never been in the field. So many providers have not adapted Cologuard into their everyday practice. I think ISRs are great and can be used to call patients and help with compliance overall. I’ve had several over my time here, and I don’t want any of them to lose their jobs. Just like I don’t. PMRs and ISRs are useful in different ways.

Oh please! Offices are handling this pandemic or either shut down! So who are you talking to?..You aren’t doing nothing but browsing Nextdoor, Karen looking for something to whine about.

Oh my. Really? Adapted? How about adopted? And many providers have adopted Cologuard, particularly in this current situation. ISRs are great, but they do not have the same level of clinic knowledge as a PMR in the field will. Therefore less true personal contact.
