Biosense Webster (100-400K+) potential. Market leader and King on the block

Depuy-Synthes (60-400K+) potential. Get on a good trauma team and get paid.

Cerenovus (220-250K) potential. Strokes are only getting worse but this is a last place in the market job

JNJ Surgical Vision AMO (185-200K) potential. You work 4 days a week chatting with docs in the OR

Mentor (200-2010k) potential. Losing ground all over the place but Allergan slipped so......

Janssen Biopharma Cancer (160-180k) pharma hours and you get paid bonus quarterly which is bad unlike the others above that pay it all out monthly.

All other jobs at JNJ are not worth looking at if you want to sell or the other op-cos dont have the backing by JNJ in pricing, R&D or buying competitors to bulk up their own product lines.

This analysis is correct. The range may be too big on the salaries. Depuy is really the only true commission only job. A good Trauma rep is in the 200k and lots are still in the 300k+ range. The others all have a base pay in the 85-100k range at pay grade level 25 or 26 and target bonus that gets you the rest of the way to the 180-250k range on the descriptions. Best way in. Take a Trauma associates job with Depuy-Synthes. Make 60k on a two year plan. If you dont make the team pack your bags and move to a place that needs you. You will always be needed. Then after a few years more you are considered in the upper tier of JNJ jobs and you can move laterally among these positions listed above. Do well and land a managers spot in these places and 250-400k is the year over year pay range you will be in. Simple.

I sell pharma. Are my lunch deliveries a skill set that translates to the big time?

Very few Depuy Synthes Reps are in the 300k range and no DS Regional Manager sniffs 400k.

They just tell you that you too can make BIG money like Rep X or Y but never tell you that they're the only two our of 200 doing it.

2 Trauma reps that cover 6-7 Million dollar region all by themselves at 11% commission make that kind of money all the time. Thats 660,00-770,000 in commissions. Split to two ways and thats 330k per person on the low end. Add in 1 or 2 Quintiles ASC's and that subtracts 60k per QASC and you are making big bucks with the help you need to run a region.

Not sure you know what "all the time" means. The reality is very few of the 1,000 DS Reps make $300k. Fact.

My Buddy works oncology. Spends most of his days drinking, smoking expensive cigars and going to Yankee games. And getting fat on the big bucks he gets for working less than part time. Gotta love being a minority here!

you have to go on this board to find out any income questions because JNJ will never tell you when you work there what people make in other divisions nor will they ever help you get there.

    What about Acclarent?

ABSOLUTELY! If you're in pharm or bio they just pretend that these big paying jobs don't exist and they'll never help you get there even though they pitch all the career paths that are possible when you first come on board. Literally, they don't even mention these other companies and their compensation. Never.

I would have to agree . There is no career path to get "there" because it isn't even discussed.
