A non-color type of discrimination in corporate America, at J&J far bigger than race among qualified candidates and employees? Oh my goodness, I never knew!

Personally know a big Christian manager in Ohio who discriminates. Never blinks a "pious" eye when he does it. Why is it the biggest offenders are often people who wear religion on their sleeve?

You talking about, Canton, OH?- call him, 'the pious one'. Hall Of Fame material. thinks his poop don't stink and he's a lock to waltz through St. Pete's gate.

Age discrimination is BIGGER, wide spread systemic than "systemic" racism in our company, period. But it is not something that executive leadership, who allows themselves to grow old and "wise" will address as it SAVES them MONEY. And that, at the end of the day, justifies the means. We live in a moral relativism society.

Pretty amazing. What JNJ does not realize...even with the separation agreements you are "forced" to sign on layoffs, you can be compelled to tell your story on the stand should you be subpoena in a class action. I personally am waiting for the attorneys who are looking for people to explain the true discrimination which exists. 2019 was my year to depart and honestly, it's taken me over a year to balance what I stood up for that cost me a job that I loved. I'll wait for the subpoena...

That sums up our LIFE at J&J.....relative morals for the situation and the position you hold. Kind of like having a top notch lawyer know how to work and circumvent the law if your in trouble. Opps, we often are as a company. But see, the penalties are kept to a minimum in most cases. MONEY POWER RULES our SHITTY ASS WORLD. And it is only getting worse as we enter the biggest era of payoffs, buyouts, back door deals, public restitution payments, etc. we have ever seen. And J&J will do everything it can to play in the times in this game of shit we call corporate America. So no one cares about older workers, loyalty, etc. They care about what is the current shit storm.

if I was asked to tell my story, I’d be happy to provide all the proof that the elimination of roles was more of a popularity contest that a process. Post on CP for folks to come forward.

Here is the DIRTY TRUTH: Who ever is targeted, and often it is higher paid, older folks. Management builds a case to get them down sized, right sized, out sized, let go and tossed to the gutter. That is how it works. It is not rocket science and it is dirty animal business as we prance around acting like we are saints selling drugs. What a joke. I lost more than one good, talented, actually hard working colleague to this type of targeting. It is illegal but they know how to limit and minimize the risk of litigation. It is DIRTY in this WORLD.

do you think executives, who spent a lifetime climbing over people and throwing people out windows and off ladders along the way, care about you and your grey hair? They laugh and look down on you as they head to church or Mass on a sunny Sunday or Saturday evening.... They are winners of it all. You are their temporary "contemporary loser slave" that was....part of their machine.

How can AGE discrimination be so rampant this century in corporate America?

Because JNJ’s lawyers figured out if you mix in enough younger under-performers they can make it look like a general downsizing/layoff. I know for a FACT there’s a running list of such young under-performers they’re carrying on the payroll to be USED for this very purpose.
