This is the place where all the disgruntled employees come.

The truth about boards like this is that things are not always as bad as they seem. Things also aren't as good as company people always try to make them seem as well.

Reality is always somewhere in between. Ventiv is a great place to get a foot into the industry or go if you do not want all the hassles of big pharma. However, it is not the long term solution ($, stability, etc.).

    A rational comment. Thanks.

My experience at Ventiv has been positive. I have never had a manager I did not like and if the contract ended they worked hard to keep me employed. Every company has issues, I have had a very positive experience with them and I have never met anyone at Ventiv I did not like. They are a breath of fresh air compared to large pharma companies. I think you will like working for them. It's like anything else you get out of it what you put into it. Good Luck

Worked in contract sales for 10 years. Ventiv is the most ruthless company I have ever been associated with. If Al Binaghi is head of your contract , run far and fast. He would sell his own mother down the river to make a buck. Ventiv is a "chicken shit company" they stay up nites thinking of ways to screw you out of your bonus. They give you sales goals in some territories that you will never be able to reach, I think they must come up with them by throwing darts at a dart board. Some Dms are decent, most are idiots who can't get a job with a manufacturer. Their home office trainers are mediocre at best, and you will probably know more than them. Plus they give you all the answers to any tests given to make sure you pass them. They must think you are as stupid as they are. Some contracts have been decent, most suck and end before the contract time is up. Probably do to the manufacturer figuring out it was a big mistake to use Ventiv.

    new to this

i'm interviewing with ventiv for a position with BI- any insight. these boards are scaring me about both companies. also- not giving me time for transition so i would have to do home study and work full time- is that doable?

YOu want the job or not? This kind of crying and rationale questioning will get you nowhere except on a black list. Read your books, collect your signatures, cash your check and shut up.

Can someone give me an idea of what kind of company ventiv is to work for? car? bonus? benefits? I'd appreciate a balanced opinion. Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone has any info on the Allergan contract with Ventiv. I also wanted to know how the contracts are setup. Is it based on hire date of the individual or is it based on the contract with the company itself?

Have not heard about Allergen contract only the Novartis one. To the best of my knowledge, only being with the company a couple of years, the contracts that are won by Ventiv have alot of Ventiv stipulations besides the contracted company. If you were on a previous contract that fell out or ended you are eligible and are in a line-up essentially for the next contract that comes open. I think that somehow tenure has something to do with who in that line up might be offered the job first. But probably it based on alittle of both, Ventiv does what they want anyway.

I'm on the Allergan contract, compared to what I hear about some of the other contract this is probably the best one. My DM is awsome and several of my pod mates have been promoted to DM, trainer, other positions. It's truly a great gig.

Most people at Ventiv have good intentions. I had a positive experience there, then went to a big pharma company and wished I was back at Ventiv. Your experience depends on your own attitude first, and then people around you. Working for the same company gets stale real fast in pharma. New contracts keeps it fresh. but if you live paycheck to paycheck, it may not be for you, as you might have gaps between contracts.

Sounds like a paycheck is not that important to you.

THE PEOPLE AT VENTIV ARE THE MOST CORRUPT BUNCH OF M'FERS I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS IN MY LIFE. THEY WOULD AND PROBABLY HAVE SCREWED THEIR OWN MOTHERS OUT OF A PENNY IF THEY COULD. WORKING HERE HAS BEEN PURE HELL. IT WAS TRULY A LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND I WILL BAD MOUTH THEM FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.
