So today I've decided that I'm done with them. I will no longer make the extra early call or late call. I will do a lunch here & there collect a few signatures. I figure this will take me three hours a day max. Which equates to 15 hours a week. I'm gonna work a max of 15 hours a week until 2015. This is my version of 15 by 15. From now on, I will have an 25 extra hours a week to work out, spend time with my spouse or double dip with an extra job (which would be good since we didn't get much of a raise the past couple years). You want 15 by 15? It's now time for me to give it to you my way. Bend over Merck............Who's in with me?
Here is my first post. Enjoy!

I think I'm really gonna dial things down now. I'm gonna work like a job share 15x15! This means I'm only going to work about an hour or two a day 2-3 days per week. I think it can be done and I'm just the guy to do it.

You are just "very lucky" your manager does not "audit" your calls, your day, etc. You are very lucky.

I haven't seen a doc in two months. They don't know shit and I play golf twice a week. There's ways around the system....just talk to a rep from Geek Squad.

Listen up..........I've just picked up 100 1970's playboy magazines from the flea market. My doctors love these as collectables. I'm selling them for $10.00 each, free shipping. I guarantee they will increase your scripts.......they doubled my numbers! Playboy rules...........especially the 70's! Let me know how many you want and I'll catch up with you on a private site.

Re: My version of 15 by 15

Still hitting the links before autumn gives into to winter once again. I have not been working much at all. My sales numbers are in the top third and even better yet my golf game has really gotten better in the last three months. My handicap is way down to almost zero which has been my goal for a long time. I'm on autopilot and will continue this way until they show me the door. It's a great feeling knowing that you don't really need the money any longer but it's WAY too easy to pass it up. 15X15 is a wonderful lifestyle!

There is no "trust" in "value" and there is no "value" in "trust" in this company. There hasn't been for a long, long time. So you gotta do what you gotta do! How's that for wisdom?

I have to agree managers not as engaged as in the past which is good but just a feeling of another lay off around the corner for PC. Any one else think more to come soon? Upper leadership working on building trust with us but I just don't feel better days are coming.

Boys and girls take my advice
Pull down your pants and slide down the ice
Another downsizing is in the air
Look at the managers, even they don't care
Stay home late, phone it in, go out and play
Just remember, that the next call is just a mouse click away

I was on vacation for the 4th. It was actually an official vacation too. I asked off for it and everything. I'm planning on "working" for another week or two then taking an "unofficial" vacation. Golf game is great right now. I think the four day "work" weeks for the past couple years has really helped that.

As long as Merck keeps depositing money into my account every pay period, I will keep "working" hard for them! LOL! This is the easiest money anyone could ever imagine so my charade will continue as long as possible. Why should I retire now? I have a car to drive me to the club every day so I can golf at least 18 holes, an expense account so I can host kick ass parties, 401k match, pension, insurance.......Life is good for the 15 Guy!

Thanks for your concern & I hope your 4th was rewarding & relaxing as well.

I hate to say so, but the person to whom you responded is correct. As a now-former Merckie myself, I must say that you've wasted your life on this worthless job. There was a time when I didn't realize that, either.

I wish you the best, but unless you wise up, you're in for a big disappointment.

No really, one has to admire your honesty. You know your " skills" are limited and declining, no longer in demand, it's really not all that hard to maintain a facade of work, what ever you do means little to nothing anyway, no why not? I'll bet you were rush chairman of your fraternity and look, you never really progressed much further than that did you? So what?

" just dropped in to see what condition ( your) condition was in."
So it appears by posts of "15" and some of his minions that Merck, again got it wrong, firing
those that mattered and keeping those that don't.

" mind over matter." We don't mind and you don't matter. It's now the law of "diminishing returns." Merck's product line is diminished and it's sales force no longer provides a return.

One more year for the rest of you. Use it wisely. Be well.

Knowing this about my life got me through Merck:
I'm not that important.
I'm not in control.
It's not about me.
Life is hard.
I am going to die.

Thankfully, I haven't died yet but no longer have near as much fear about my mortality. My life and what I have done with it is about someone else. Figuring that out has made all the difference.
