Where did everybody end up after the Gestapo take over. What a waste of a great little company and a bunch of super products.
Only a handful stayed with SSwarz for more than a year. Many went to other small companies, some to big pharma, others to jobs outside of pharma. It would be interesting to see a list of what companies people ended up at.
Schwarz is gone now. Sold out to UCB so those that stayed on with Schwarz either got displaced (myself being one) or are now working for UCB. What goes around comes around!
Aren't there ANY Central reps still in the industry who read this stuff?? Where the hell IS everybody????
Come on, former Central reps, where are you? I know there weren't thousands of us, but there have to be SOME hiding out there. I ahve been doing contract sales since '98 and enjoy it. Anyone else??
I've been with Roche ever since. Still have fond memories of our small training class. No computers. Remember those little blue books we carried our sample receipts inside of? And our notes on each doctor?
Loved Central. They left us alone to sell & make bonus. Nothing like a set bonus base to allow you to make money!
Paul Steffan in Buffalo. Started in Sept 93 in Seymour Indiana - still have the pink hat from the bbq joint (Mike Simpson's Hog Heaven.) Been at Purdue Pharma since 98. Along with Bob Ochse and Laurie Burkett. Still remember the day the said they'd never sell. It was inevitable. Loved Central. Loved Seymour. Little pink houses. Dave Tague, Steve Tokar - where are you?
A lot has to be said for the way they worded that speech: Central could not be BOUGHT OUT because there was no public stock, only private shares. That did not mean they could not or would not SELL the company, which they did indeed.
