privately-owned by 3 brother from Colombia S. America; Syvek is main product , been around since 1995 - no longer new kid on the block so sales are flat... missed their 2007 target by 1.2 million.

Overall, not too stable from a Salesforce perspective; VP Sales quit last year and not replaced since; Maketing VP is from J&J Hemostasis but he's the only science guy the company has...

Anyone have any info about their trauma product and the salesforce for that product?

Their trauma product is exactly the same as the Syvek patch, just larger in size. They have struggled for years trying to figure out how to market it, and exactly to whom. For awhile they were going to target first responders and the military. Not sure what the latest plan is. hard sell.

I heard it is expensive as shit and that any hospital that is bringing it in will only use it in a serious emergency. Not getting traction like they thought it would. If they brought the price down by 25% they could probably more than make it up on volume, but a purchasing director I talked to at one hospital said the manager is such a know it all that she won't listen to anyone else. Sucks, because the purchasing director liked the product.

I used to work there a few years back. The company is private and the three brothers (and the rest of the family) feel that for every $ you get is a $ out of their pockets. They had a car allowance that was based on mileage ( like $.45/mile) BUT they would pay you ONLY up to $400/month no matter how many miles you drove and if it turned out less than $400 they paid you that. The President of the company would always be calling accounts (without telling you) and fucking things up to a point that the account calls you and asks you WTF? Nice technology at the time but Citoseal, Medtronic product and others have been saturating the market making it a commodity. I guess Allan finally had a enough of the Finkelstein bothers. BTW a fun fact but the family runs the lobster business for most of the US.........look in any grocery store at the lobster tank and realize the Finkelsteins probably put them there.

I gotta a call about this place in 2003. same story then as today. these are the kinds of places that look for people who bounce around who are looking for a quick fix with the promise to make jack. usually have many jobs just like this before where they stayed for a short time. companies like this make money for the company not the bounce around reps.

Really sad company. Forget about wound care, they don't understand it and are going nowhere with it. Product is not getting reimbursed. Robin Holbrook does not understand the business, and bases everything on studies that just are not reliable in the real world. Product does not have good outcomes and corporate expects to be paid for a product that does not help promote healing. Their commission plan is a joke. The product does not produce consistant outcomes, but they want you to force it on people. It is just sad. There where such high hopes for the company, but they are not based on real life situations. They are not doing any real marketing, probably because they are not believing they have a real product. Company will not last long. Best to look at something else.

Run away from this company. They treat reps like dirt. Marco is all about Marco. He does not trust anyone, especially the sales force. Most unethical company I ever worked for in my 35 years in the business. I started looking for another job after just two months with this company. Do not get sucked into this company. Their past sales director called and apologized to me for bringing me into this hell hole. Run and don't look back? BTW the recruiter they use is just as bad. He'll lie to your face how great the company is when in fact he knows it is a churn and burn job.
