Is this a good division to join? Are you happy at Talecris?

I am considering joining your company from a toxic pharma co....

Looking for advice? Thrombate & Koate-DVI, are they well received?

    Thanks

This company is currently in the process of being bought by Grifols. If this goes through, it is unlikely they will keep many (if any) Hem reps, as they already are fully staffed in this arena.

    Best of luck

Thank you that is discouraging but appreciated.

    How is the division otherwise?

Are you happy at this company?

Why would they expand if Grifols buys Tale and then cuts hematology?
Not sure if I want to come to a Co that is not secure, but who is these day and who knows for sure the future of this division?

You can be sure of one thing, not one thing is for certain at Talecris right now. Maybe tomorrow might be different but why would it. Yesterday was just as confusing as it was a month ago before the leaves starting vacating the tree branches. Am I barking up the wrong tree? If so I'll leaf you alone while I branch out into other areas of discussion. I think I'll go looking for my roots.

I too am interviewing for a position in this division. I know it is a small division, but seriously, are the products good?

Thrombate III- is it highly regarded?

Thrombate III is only slightly better than Thrombate II but not even close to the promise of Thrombate IV nearing Phase III clinicals trials. Thrombate is equal to Masterbate 69 but only slightly gooder than Ejaculate U2/Me2 later..

Thrombate III is a piece of shit drug with very little data to support its indicated use. Clinical Practice dictates the use of LMWH as standard of care anticoagualation not standard unfractionated heparin...so the clinical studies are not relevant to current therapies. The majority of use (if and when it is ever used) is off label with very tiny clinical studies to support its use in those settings. Good luck selling an outdated drug with an extremely high cost when hospitals and managed care are under severe financial constraints. Most MD's are not even going to pick up or test for the deficiency and first presentation of a patient is most likely to be too late or misdiagnosed and managed with other options. Besides isn't there the ongoing controversy over human vs. recombinant therapies and a plethora of new anticoagulants and antiplatelet therapies in the works that could ultimately change the whole landscape of how patients are managed. Most CT surgeons are not going to risk the bleed and ICCV are moving away from UFH completely when they have choices such as angiomax that negates the need for a costly ATIII agent during a proceedure.

Run...Run away...if the Grifols merger takes place Talecris agents will be back burners...Thrombate III is an expensive dead drug...if you are a poor bastard that takes one of these spots good luck selling it and keep interviewing.
