Do I make the jump from specialty oncology pharma to this company? Is this a ligitmate entry into the diagnostic sector?

If you had a brain.........you would read the rest of the post on here and do a search on the company. Considering there are 4 pending law suites and the company is up for sale........I would say......Go for it!!

Agree. I noticed they are looking for multiple new sales people in both the hospital and physician market. If a suitor was imminent, wouldn't they be interested in Genoptix's bottom line revenue? It seems like adding more sales rep now would just be an expense since it will take these reps 3-6 months to show any significant top line revenue. Will a suitor consider forward earnings based on the number of sales reps? Is Genoptix banking on a six month acquisition window?

In 3 to 6 months if you have not closed 10 new docs you will be fired, this company is stealing from medicare, they provide nothing but fancy reports, if you have academic med ctrs in your area they provide the same service for much less $, if you are in a rural area with no fed ex or running water you will do well, good luck, ask yourself, what proprietary test does genoptix own? what, every other lab can do what they do? that means price is key, ask yourself, who is the highest priced lab? oh genoptix is, guess what you have nothing to sell[

[/QUOTE] As you can see by the previous post, our competition has issues. This may stem from the fact that this particular clown barely graduated high school and probably has no science background. Since they can't compete on product they have a tendancy to run at the mouth, similar to a rabbid dog. Listen, do your homework and make up your mind. Genoptix is a good place to work and our customers like our work, plain and simple.

Dear Doctor of Philosophy, Rabbid Dog is meant as double entendre, something you may remember from high school. Look it up, give it a try, and maybe you won't be so uptight :)

Dear Dr. Genoptix. You my friend are the clown. Your former clients are sending cases to my lab unsolicited. Meet your new boss Quest Diagnostics. Hope you had fun at your last NSM.

3rd man in, here. Can you explain how "rabbid dog" is a double entendre? What am I missing?

A double entendre is a figure of speech in which a spoken phrase is devised to be understood in either of two ways. Often the first (more obvious) meaning is straightforward, while the second meaning is less so: often risqué, inappropriate, or ironic.

Now that's why we are getting bought out. Real smart people with no business skills.

Just because your sales reps wear scrubs and pick up in hospital specimens from the lab without knowledge of the hospital doesn't count as science experience.

    no shit, sherlock.

my question was, how is misspelling "rabid" in that phrase a double entendre?

that's your original excuse for spelling it wrong, isn't it?

Genoptix is a sinking ship. If Quest or sonic buy them goodbye. Plus the hospitals HATE them. Tey are going to have to pay like 1 billion dollars back to the Gov't for Medicare and Medicaide fraud.

Please just kill yourself! That way you will no longer have regrets about being the little competitor nerd who continually got sand kicked in his face!
