Ode to Verus Experience 2

It's been over a year and a half without a new poem
Y'all have been clamouring for me to once again show'em
So I am back on the attack in defense of the orginal forty
Here I go with my rant, hope you are ready...O Lordy!
Almost 2 years ago I warned of this impending doom!
I would not be here holding the bag when they lowered the boom!
Nostradamus or soothsayer are titles that are not me
I just knew it in my gut that it was time to re-tee
All you Verus believers on this thread ripped me with haste!
I say to you now "How does that Verus Kool Aid Taste?"
"This poet is so negative, a joke, and was not workin'"
But it was not my chain for two years they were jerkin!
Bob labeled the sale of Verus "great" and "bittersweet"
But it would never be him to flop the nut straight and get beat!
When I heard the news I felt horrible for all my peeps!
How could upper management act like such creeps?
You gave them your heart...your blood sweat and tears!
Never mind all the sacrafices, despite all your fears.
For this and everything else, someone should pay.
In the future karma will get them...If not today!
When the ship goes down just follow the rats
You screwed your team over Steve....Congrats!
I was onto that scrub from the very beginning
All that bullshit he spewed, All that positive spinning.
Dead Last DM for two straight years.
With him leaving, nobody shed any tears.
I hope those in charge of severance loose tons of sleep.
Think of the reps children, and mortgages, before you utter a peep.
The market out there is highly competitive and tough.
I wish only the best for all of you, I know it has been rough.
When a door is slammed shut, just kick open another!
In the end it is a good thing whether you believe or not brother.
The first chapter is over, but not the book.
We will work together again and laugh about everything we took.
To my peeps, I wish for you good luck with all my might.
Will the last one out please Turn Out The Light?

 

I am so glad I left when I did. I knew going in as an original 40 that this was going to be a rough go. I was desparate so took the job against my gut reaction. I went on to bigger and much better things. I find it very sad for the reps. They were all great people.
