Management by Intimidation/Threats

    What's with the new Eye Care management trend of intimidation and threats? I have had so many reps tell me their managers are constantly threatening them with job loss and demotion. Is this all over the country or just in the South Region? Is this coming from the RD or above?

    This is the NEW ALLERGAN CULTURE

    We're seeing and feeling this in all the divisions.

    What rights? Unless you are in a protected class (minority, over 40, disabled, etc.) you have no special rights. This is employment AT WILL and Allergan CAN and WILL fire you for ANY reason.

    Learn employment law instead of speculating about it.

    The RD in the South is a class A jerkoff, he treats nobody with respect so it's likely your manager feels the exact same way as you and is simply a pawn in Dustin's little game.

    That captain goggles is the second horrible RD hire in the LeCause tenure.

    It seems like that is the trend in the industry- It's not right but it is fair- just because a company treats you like dirt does not mean you have a right to sue- BUT, there are other options in a reps court.......document and just be prepared-

    Rick Cannington is a "class ass joke". He is a "legend in his own mind". What a complete incompetent manager. His turn-over is large, people leave all the time and upper management just turns the other cheek because they are so afraid because of his race. He is a "token" and a big loser! U suck Rick!!!

    Most states are NOT "At WILL" employment.

    Right and wrong. There are a good deal of excpetions recognized by most states, but for the most part unless you are over 50, or can prove racial or religious discrimination, or can prove retaliation, cor an prove apublic policy exception, or have a contract (written or implied), you can be canned with out being given a reason why. At Allergan getting canned out of no where for no given reason is not likely. If you are let go here it is not a big surprise 99.9% of the time, you know when you are in hot water. Sometimes things move faster depending on the situation but for the most part no one gets tossed without knowing why. No company is perfect but Allergan seems to give people a fair shake.

    You can be canned because someone doesn't like you or is threatened by you. Not fair and not right and HR doesn't give a s*it. Sometimes ya gotta be patient, but what goes around comes around.

    Yes Karma speaks volumes. In the short term, these jack asses that get into management positons, couldn't shine our shoes. Just pathetic hiring pratices. simply and truely unbelievable! Watch out for that City Bus ! LOL
