Is that Ampyra and/or Acorda will be sold by the end of 2011. SRF's are sinking faster than the Titanic and that's only because most of the qualified patients have been submitted. This is not going to be a new Rx growth drug from here on out. Refills will help for a while but the new patients will be at a much slower pace.

The company has consolidated 2 territories already and I figure more will follow which means they recognize that 100 territories was too many to begin with. The legal deptartment is making it very tough to really sell this drug effectively. The best option seems to be selling it off to an established MS company. Just my opinion.

It's called compliance and legal should and must protect the company. Any pharma company is restricted now in terms of theor sales messaging.

Acorda will eith buy another product or gain another. I do not see a sell of this company.

It's not compliance, it's our overly conservative approach to the Pharma Guidelines. They are not law or government requirements in any way. Ask the medical devise companies what they think about the Pharma Guidelines and they will laugh you right out of the building. Compliance is for things like on-label promotion, fair and balanced advertising and not making false claims.

The Pharma Guidelines were invented by the Pfizers of the world to take the heat off of them not us. ABM's are canceling more programs because they cannot meet the requirements than are actually being held. The legal department blocks everything that could potentailly help us move this drug forward. I agree with the OP in that we are doomed if this keeps up.
