Has anyone added awards and fake numbers to your resume? Do you think they will verify coming from oscient? What do you put into your resume to stand out?

Don't lie, especially when everyone is looking for a new job. You will be up against someone else in your district and the truth will come out.

Sure people lie on their resume. My boss has gone as far as doing it on his Linkedin page. He has written that he was "DM of the Year" after only being with the company a short period of time. I didn't know they gave out fictional awards. Also, he has that Abbott is a medical device company. Good job Ryan....nobody in the healthcare field will miss that. I'd love to see what other crap you have on your resume.

Forget the resume we all BS on our achievements in order to get in the door. The key is to get those interviews and act as if they cannot achieve without you and if the competion ever got you they would lose. Never tell them that management, marketing or training is an interest. This just shows the interviewer you have been unable to achieve your goals. You want this job and you will work hard for them.

Not EVERYONE LIES ON THEIR RESUME!!! Listen...those lies will catch up with you. When you lie you cheat yourself and others, not to mention if you get away with it in this life you will NOT get away with it when you die and stand before a righteous and holy God. The Bible is clear liars will not get into heaven.

Let me ask you a question...if you tell a lie does this make you a liar? If you kill someone does this make you a murderer? Hmm...you might try to reason this out but if you kill someone that makes you a murderer...what else can it be? If you lie what other word can you use to describe you.

Do the right thing...tell the TRUTH...our county and world desperately needs men to stand up and be men!

Very well said! However, I think I will just lie and get my way in this life. I am pretty good at sales so maybe I can negotiate some level of heaven.

If I put down I was a president's club winner do you think they will find out that I wasn't? I mean not everyone can work in an area that has the type of formulary to get you there. We all know its formulary not sales that makes it.

It wasn't formulary dude. I was in Pres club last year and had some of the worst formulary in the nation.

Bullshit! You need formulary to win. Period! If a product is off formulary on ABC Insurance Company, how you going to get the numbers?????? This is the million dollar question. So funny, nobody has been able to explain it until now. All you hear is the same old answers; work every day, good routing and amazing relationships. This is what you say, its a corporate answer and makes you think you are better than the rest. Your not, just lucky!

Right! So how do you explain how 2 reps from the same city can have vastly different growth or how every year a few reps from the west coast get high ranks when the east coast has ridiculously better formulary coverage. Corporate can suck my ass, I never worked long hours for years, never took a word of advice from management, just scraped together scripts from the formularies I did have and sold the shit out of the coupons.

I can explain that one for you. It has nothing to do with formulary. It has to do with Doctors and the hospitals they represent. These areas, on the west coast are at risk. They are capitated. Thats all you need to know. If you dont know what "At Risk or Capitated" means, go ask someone. Most of us in America do not have this happening to us. If you did, its better than any formulary and you can become #1 easily in your company.

yeah i know what it means and i'm telling you for a fact that none of the successful reps on the west coast are in this situation. you seem pretty good at coming up with justifications for why your not doing as well, why don't you just accept the fact that your just not that good.

I have. I suck. It never used to be this way but I suck now. Dont know why, just do. The other problem is others dont think I suck. Can you see how this created a problem for me. You cant win without formulary, I cant believe anyone even argues this.

Alright, fair enough. I guess I was being a bit harsh/negative. I agree that if your territory has a majority of at risk plans and capitated ones it's almost impossible to get growth. I was talking more about areas with equal formulary positions where one rep seems to do well and the rest don't move. Anyway no hard feelings to my old colleagues, loved working for Oscient and good luck to all.

You may be in the wrong business. Sounds like you actually have some integrity.

I hooked up with a Hot chick from my church group that works for Oscient. I told her I was a Chimney Sweep but I really am an office based Spec. Rep with Merck/SP. She was married, Pharma reps are easy.

WOW....way to validate yourself for fabrications on your resume. All of my achievements, accolades, degrees et al are verifiable, so please don't try to lump yourself in with the norm.
