Thanks for the Allergan job website. I'll check it out. But what I really wanted was to get the name of a local manager for the Montana/Wyoming area.

Hey moron, it doesn't matter what you sell, we are the laughingstock of the industry. We are not looked at as thought leaders, just mere caterers, and company mouthpieces. We are not needed. The show is over.

That's for an average rep. The top 10% make at least 5k more. If you're number 1 you could potentially break 115k. Keep in mind that you get a company car.

Wait until you are downsized from another pharma company and that compesation program will look very good to you.

The 70's is the lower end--it goes higher.

I met a Botox rep while I was at my Derm's office. Her face was frozen!

    Here is your real answer:

    Base of approximately $75,000

at plan in the pay grade you will enter is approximately $36,000 (but making plan is difficult with the eyelash product in the bag)

Another bonus exists called "super bonus" but this is only effective when you are making plan.

Quoted $72K-80K base, $60K potential bonus. BS or "real", assuming you hit your number?

Then why don't you take your ungrateful self out of the situation and go sell copiers or yellow page ads...or better yet, Dysport. Some of you people are so full of unearned entitlement that you don't realize most people would love to be in your shoes. Pathetic. If you wanted to be a "thought leader", why didn't you attend medical school? You're obviously too intelligent to be selling Botox. And just so ya know...you make more than a caterer does.

It doesn't matter what the "potential bonus" is. What if the "potential bonus" is 2 million dollars if no one ever hits their number or maxes out quota. If you want to know what to realistically expect ask how the rep you're replacing did last year (we have quarterly quotas and bonuses). If the manager acts like the person you'd be replacing was a lousy rep and that you'd somehow do better, then ask how the average or the best rep in the region did in terms of quota attainment. If you're unemployed then this is a great job, if you have a job that you like and you're well paid then you need to make an informed decision.

I hear the Botox reps for Urology/Gynecology will be making a mint! Might be time to consider transferring.
