is now more important than everything. I have been hammered by my boss about reports due, calls in before 10 and after 5, syncs, samples left, tiers called on, blue list hit and etc... I am at sales meetings where people are getting recognized for their reach and sampling first. There should only be recognition for sales. It is official we are big pharma. As a note I am in the top 25% so don't say I am a slacker.
OK, I have worked for Ista for a good bit and we don't "pay off" docs other than speakers. Shit we don't have any money. Although, we are definitely obsessed with reports and when stuff gets entered or email'd. My manager is bad about the "process" just because as she/he says his/her manager now makes it a point but I hear from other districts it has become an utter nightmare.
Well I know many reps are being pushed to pay local docs to speak to influence others in the local community and the memos and big pharma madness has gotten out of hand. And we all know we have been being pushed for too long to try to get the business where we can at all costs....lets call a spade a spade.
Uh you are a moron. I have only one speaker in my territory. There might be 8 in the entire district. Less than 1 per territory.
That is my point, they r pushing the reps to sell these me 2 products to every target on our list for every freaking reason under the sun and to try to have the little amount of speakers that they have payrolled to go out and persuade docs in the community while pushing corporate agenda, targets, emails etc on everyone.
I recorded my boss on my phone talking to their RM about paying off docs. I have a record ap on my phone. He stayed in the car as I went in to make a call. I always wondered what they said to each other when I wasn't around......Now I know. I wonder what I should do with it?
you should turn it in to the authorities and you are full of shit. if you did that you never would post it. so if you did this then you should say the mgr you recorded by initials. I would guess we will get none.

I believe the only state where this is illegal is California. I am certain it is legal in the majority of others. I think this should be done more often on field rides. How many times have we been asked to sell off label or how much do you think it will take to get this guy? My boss tells me to get gift cards for staff who have been helpful. I've never seen such morons in my life. Be grateful you have a job. Coming onto this site and trying to "out" certain people and the company is flat out wrong. If its so bad here go work for Capital Equiptment. I've been at Big Pharma for many years and I've seen it all. ISTA happens to be the most ethical company that I have been at and not to say its perfect. The violations big pharma has is wide spread. Appearently some people dont care about working here and hopefully you will be weeded out soon. If working from 10 to 2 is gratifying to you, then your ambitions in life are completely flat.
Why do you use the word moron in every post you have written, you have a very expansive vocab. Number two Ista is not the most ethical company, you are in pharma MORON no company is ethical. It is because Ista is not a billion dollar company that they havent been "Flagged" like big pharma. Go read get an education and maybe you will learn more than moron in your vocab. Maybe you should listen to some of your peers on here and realize that just maybe their situation with their managers is different then yours. Of course not every person or manager or employee in Ista is being pushed to sell off label, but JUST MAYBE SOME ARE MORON. And being some who personally has experienced this for a fact I can speak for some of these others talking on this post that it is unnerving, scary and know one wants to go to jail for eyedrops. According to my DM, process is king becuase it is what is needed to get us to the nect level. I think someone is drinking the kool-aid
