No, I heard the opposite but not sure if it's true or not. Grifols wants out of the deal and was working with the FTC to find some legal wiggle room that would not enforce the $350 mil walk away penalty owed Talecris if the deal falls through. Grifols has placed blame on certain aspects of the ACA and the potential negative impact on IVIG reimbursement threatening long term investment and expected returns, etc. There's also rumors that plasma donors may form a collective and seek higher donor fees based on the profits generated by the big 5 IVIG manufacturers. How's that for a new twist.

    That makes perfect sense.

T-Minus 1 week until Grifols realizes they have just bought a bottomless money pit. I would love to be a fly on the wall when Victor gets his hands on what he is paying some of our mid to high level managers and realizes he can’t get rid of everyone at once if he wants to keep the business running. Retention time.

Let the buyer beware, and in this case let the FTC be the business instrument of death. It was nice knowing you cutter-miles-bayer-talecris-grifols.What will be your final name.................Implodicus ,Taleslut, Repulsivis, Cutternut, Sternicus, Grifolly, KingKuhn, or Cerburpus Biotherapukes !????? ?

Hard to decide because they're all great names!

The deal is done and the integration will now begin. Retentions will only be temporary over the months ahead as Grifols right sizes the newly merged organization and starts eliminating jobs. Everybody get ready for the ride!!

Any thoughts on how the sales force will be structured? Who will lose their jobs, Talecris or Grifols reps? Etc?

Well if we are treated like the people that got kicked to Kedrion were today, "Good Fucking Luck"!! A friend is one of the people going over to make this deal happen, and told me the conference call was pretty horrible. So if these hatchet men/women who could care less about any of you have their way you will all be looking at the unemployment line, just as long as it saves there own asses! Frankly I think the people going over to Kedrion got the better deal in the long run. Talecris management, with some exceptions has been horrible! If Grifols is smart, they would get rid of these corporate kiss-asses and save themselves a boat load of money. Gamunex would be doing so much better but it doesn't have a fucking identity because it been sold so many fricking times! :)

Truer have not been spoken! The rumor regarding JP, BZ, DS, KK, AG, AD staying on was like a needle in a helium balloon. The collective hopes across Talecris hissed out of all of us.

How long will it take Grifols to realize that the majority of the company has very little respect and no trust of their leadership. The sooner they can ride off into the sunset with their bags of money they stole from Grifols the better it will be for everyone. I just hope they don't judge us through them!

It is hard for me to imagine they don't all ready! But since they signed several of them on for atleast 6 months then maybe they don't know. Talecris corporate only has two types of people working at it at this point. People that are constantly plotting how they can decive ownership into giving them more money and honest hard working individuals who would like to move on to somewhere else but can not find a job paying what they make. No one is working on building a better company. Everyone falls into one of those categories which does not make for a fun place to work.

I have worked for corporate for more than 5 years and have seen personally what greed, financial jealousy, working only for all mighty dollar and unengaged leadership can do to a company and more importantly the people who work for it. Basically everyone is turned into lifeless zombies who only wake up out of the trance when a another special bonus hits our account, we receive an unexpected promotion or the promise of more options only to say "I NEED MORE" and fall back into the trance. In the beginning everyone says that will never happen to me but before you know it your infected.
