You heard it here first. Just ask your managers about end of 1st qtr 2011. Of course, they can't answer but I will help us out.
Make sure your 2010 annual review shines. Your sales will be key but your review may or may not set you free.
Make it the best self reporting review ever and hope for the best!

For those in the hosp division, remember that the sales component in the PEs is based on target hospital sales...only incentive payout is based on target hospital sales + any retail sales. The question is will the PEs be ranked as a nation or compared to the "bucket" average and then ranked. My guess is no one can give us the answer to that and that could mean the difference between having a job and not having a job.

I apologize. Made a mistake in the last post. Incentive comp is based on hospital sales+retail and PEs are based only on hospital sales...should not have used the word "target".

Does Otsuka have a hospital division for their CNS division?

Just cardiology and oncology. Maybe not long though before they expand and add on more that division. But, it will be a mirror of the current hospital divisions. DM's that are clueless, DM's w/little or no experience in the hospital, DM's that think that formulary wins happen over night, along w/senior management that think and expect the same.

and so it begins-welcome to the anniversary of the end of "old Otsuka" having many friends within the organization I can say to many of you don't get too comfortable-many reps were set free for selling less than 15 units between May and Dec 09 Have you sold more than 15 units since joining? Something to think about. Oh and did you inherit a territory that had sales or were you expected to create your own success? This will matter as well. As they say prepare for the worse and hope for the best

maybe if you were out working instead of on cafe pharma at 11 am on a friday you wouldn't have to worry about being laid off-and last year it happened after the meeting so here's hoping history doesn't repeat itself.

Leave it to CP respondents to add their 2 cents.
A person on pto can access and post on cp at any time they choose.

Probably one of the so very qualified hospital DMs. With their vast experience it only makes sense they would make such a comment. I'm so glad I have such an experienced & intelligent DM like this one.

Here were are in july and everything is stable. Altmeyer has done a great job settling down the company, and now we have a real future. I guess the changes were worth it.
