Does Otsuka offer stock options to sales reps? How many reps in the oncology division?

Hopefully Oncology doesn't micromanage like NS does. Good luck

Otsuka is a private company in the US. Is going or went public on the Tokyo exchange.

No stock options; no pension plan.

realioty here is OAPI couldnt care less about the people. No stock, unreal expectations, benefits kind of suck. You basically need to negotiate hard coming in or you will never see more than a 2% increase after. Bonus range is very tight for NS. Good in hospital but how long will that last? OH one major benefit. You and your DM get audited every quarter by lawyers.

Actually when Otsuka America was run by a Japanese CEO and in pre-Taro days, Mr. Otsuka did provide a very generous pension plan which some employees are grandfathered into. Only a couple or 3 years ago, around the time Taro took over, did the pension plan go away for folks hired after a specific year. Mr. Otsuka (the elder) always felt a pension in the absence of stock ownership was the right thing to do for his employees. Today you have an edgier bunch of hard case wannabees trying to emulate the standard for US big business by screwing their employees. The good will Mr. Otsuka cultivated is long gone thanks to Taro and the direction he and all the big pharma new hires he brought on are taking Otsuka in the US.
Japan takes care of their employees basically cradle to grave...not so in the US.

I disagree. It is not my experience that the Japanese culture is churn and burn. It is the culture Taro chose to bring to this organization and one which continues due to Japan's desire to milk Otsuka America as long as it can for as much $$$ as it can (which won't be long).

Maybe not options but you can get 20% on all the vitamins you can handle. Dont forget the health bars and wine

You people are crazy. Otsuka went downhill once it started becoming more American. When it was truly fun by the Japanese it was VERY employee focused.

Whah, whah, whah! Please with the stock options. Granted they would be nice. But are you paid in the top 2 % of all people in the US. Yes you are. What you don't here are any positive motivation comments from folks who say yeah it's tough at times but we will get it done and have been successful in the past.

Glad to have a job. Stock options would help stay if another company offered me more. All in all, not a bad place to make a good living.
