I don't think it is the end because even though our meds are not selling as projected they are selling. Ista is making money just not near the rate projected. I would worry about a year or two from now when Bromday goes generic. There is really nothing short of a major buyout to change the future. Remura looks dead and it was the last ophthalmic med we had in pipeline. There might be a downsize in the next several months. Things are going to get tighter here and it will become even more unpleasant.

Don't think so either. The positives outweigh the negatives. Wasn't it just a couple of months ago that some were saying gen bromfenac would be the end of ISTA?

The naysayers will (and already have) say this is the end. It's a shame we have a few like Harold Camping in our midst - proclaiming that the end is near and even giving dates of when layoffs will begin, etc. Then, that date comes and goes and we're all still here.

The study results were disappointing but it doesn't immediately impact my bonus anyway (just my ESPP :-( ).

Besides, it's just one study. Look what Lastacaft had to go through to get approved. Don't like that analogy since it's a different disease state? Okay, look at what restasis had to do to get approved.

I'd be more concerned about external influences (global financial meltdowns, etc.) on ISTA than internal. At the end of the day, it doesn't do any good to worry about it though. Just go focus on what we CAN control instead of worrying or speculating about what may or may not happen.

The end? No. That happened a couple years ago. If any old timers had stock options I hope you cashed out. 11. No way it is near that again with Bromday not at point and Bepreve sucking it. Jobs? Yes, most will have those for a bit. It will become a nightmare though. 5 regional sales managers for a 165 person sales force will make sure. I know companies with 1 regional for that number of reps. Top heavy?

people stop being concerned about shit that you can control and simply go out and do your job., The world is in a melt down stage and thanks to our congressmen playing chicken, its screwing up all markets.

Ista has big cash reserves now compared to two years ago so yes they can keep the lights on.

Also ista needs all people bringing in scripts, I.E reach....so why woudl you lay off if you need to get more scripts...makes no sense.

Just relax, look around at the rest of teh market, they are laying out 7000 people, 10000 people, Ista doesnt even have that many people total so we dont have those worries.

If we simply hit the minumum number we break even and thats still ok.

so the bottom line, stop listening to these wimps that cant see two feet in front of them and couldnt sell them selves out of a paper bag. if you dont like it leave, on wait no jobs..
