J&J Contract Dead?

I am sure today we will be getting emails that state:::::everything is on track, they are just trying to tie up the loose ends, just about ready to finalize the territories, making sure the numbers work, should not be much longer, expect contracts some time in the next week.

Then Tuesday there were some mistakes made on the territories and the regional directors needed to make some changes that will make things better.....

I could see these going on for weeks seem to making progress while all along holding everyone off until the NOV 5th deciscion...guess just wait it out...

 

Is this what they are waiting for? November 5th's decision?

 

Of course this is what they are waiting for, I posted this two weeks ago. Do you really think J&J needed more time to look at territory alignment? Please, they thought the Afib indication was a sure think and now they want to wait until the final decision from the FDA, which still looks good based on the vote last Thursday. Better to wait and get indication and know for sure we have something to sell. If you are putting all your eggs in this basket you are crazy!!! My gut is this will go but it is 60/40 in favor.

Nov 5th they will get afib indication BUT that still does not mean a contract....IF the pkg label reads for failure of another drug first then no way are they going to hire more reps...If they ask for additional studies on discontinuation and they delathe indication no contract...There are alot of senerios, only one of which we get hired....

OK guys it is scenarios........thanks for everyone's input. I have a ? my email from Quintiles says that I will get feedback on the 19th. Another person I know in the same state says that she will get feedback on the 21st. Has anyone else had this happen?

That happened in my area too. Three of us went to interview for two spots. Now two of us are getting emails stating the 19th and the third is for the 21st. I think (or hope) it means that those of us who are contacted on the 19th (or whenever the case may be) are the "top candidates" and the ones are the "back up" candidates.

This is obviously speculation on my part, but the other person who is on the 19th used to work for Quintiles and they tracked her down to interview. So, I figure that they must really want her back.

 

Were you told you were a "Top Candidate"?
If your theory is correct, I believe it would be truly unethical to string someone along w/out telling them they are "2nd string".

 

That would suck if they are stringing two people along. I feel pretty good about my spot because the person I interviewed against was told they did not get the job.

 

This is my thinking too. Hopefully we will hear tomorrow because if not it's back the job hunting.

 

It just means you are a r***** with no grasp of the English language as well as naive.

As a J&J stock holder it is troubling that you are even being considered.

Thanks for your advice and feedback. This is what I thought the situation was too but was not for sure. I must be a top candidate then which makes me feel good. We will see what tomorrow the 19th brings.

Got offer today! Most went out yesterday. Congrats to those who were chosen. Good luck to those who weren't.

 

My friend was told she would hear on the 19th, I was told the 21st, so I have been assuming the same as the rest of you, that I am their 2nd choice and she is their 1st, but then we both got pushed off until the 28th, which was yesterday and neither of us heard a word. Heard offers went out on the 19th and apparently on the 26th, so my guess is we both will not get offers. Bummer for being dragged along for so long.
