Can anyone provide information on this company and its product line? They seem to be on the rebound from some past turmoil.
I think you are confusing Cryolife with another company. Crolife's problems arose from some of their grafts, valves, other cryopreserved tissue transplants transfering an obscure disease to the patients receiving the transplants. It was a disease that is and was not in the screening regime for transplants, but it made big news when the 60 minutes crew did one of their "big bad medical company profits from poor patients who are harmed" stories. A slanted presentation really hurt the company.
No, I am not wih Cryolife! I am involved in the medical device industry and have worked with some of the principals at Cryolife many years ago with other companies. I have followed the fortunes and travails of Cryolife through the years. I feel my statement above is fair. The company was the victim of a 60 minutes smear.
