For 18 months, we worry restlessly about layoffs. Things have progressively worse that we want layoffs now! Now! Are you listening? can't take it no more.....no more!

 

how can one get laid off?

 

Write an anonymous letter to Dan with reasons why layoffs should occur and how Amylin can benefit. A one page executive summary would get Dan's attention.

 

Also be sure only to use small words a 5 year old can understand.

 

There is another option. Get another job, then resign. You are not stuck there.

 

We want double pay....severance pay (Amylin) and salary from new job.

 

Layoffs possibly after the long weekend. This could be the break we are looking for out of Zombie Land.

 

That would be welcome relief to us zombies! Rip the scab off already.

 

Good guess on timing...layoffs in Jun2010 and June 2009. In May Finance starts mid-year #s crunching and realizing need to even out cash in with cash out.

 

We sense more layoffs to come. Management is "spring cleaning". I am moving on and will no longer be a zombie. Other zombies should see the cue and move on out-a-here.

 

There were layoffs in June 2011 also, 3 rounds, we heard it was going to be every Thurs in June, they only did 3 of the 4 Thursdays in June.

 

Amazing --- it's May 31st and there have already been 3 layoffs in June 2011 --- LOL --- you really should take a moment to proof the information you put out there unless you don't feel badly about being made to look like a fool.

CFO must have received news that troubled him so much that he was having so much trouble presenting the same slides he had delivered brilliantly many times before. It was like watching The King's Speech and feeling sorry for him. A press release today or tomorrow will shed light on what rattled him.
