We have been played. VCA only uses Butler so we have really been screwed by VetStreet.
They use us to build their clinic count and then sell to VCA. Looks like Jeff the snake Guidos is still slithering.

Hopefully he'll leave the company. He needs to go.

ahhh, as much as I dislike Jeff as a person and as a "manager" (term is used VERY loosely), it wasn't Jeff's decision to sell to VCA. His 10+ year relationship with Bob Antin at VCA Antech certainly didn't hurt, but after all, Vestar is the capital backing of Vetstreet and, ultimately, the decision was theirs. I highly suspect that Jeff's "management" style won't fly with VCA Antech, but who knows?

Jeff is incompetent. His management style is what is best for Jeff. He is a poor example of leadership.

and now thanks to Pet Portals, VCA now has pet owner information from 4 - 5000 practices that have portal... How do you think that impacts Vets?

Very perceptive. If I were a Vet Street practice I would be contacting an attorney.

Our clinic recently dropped VetStreet and started working with a company called VetScene. Not only a better portal, but better price, and it's an independent company. Might be worth checking out. www.vetsceneproactive.com

Any clinic who stays with VetSteet after this acquisition deserves what they get. VCA only wants the data that VetSteet provides.

Smart move by VCA. You have to hand it to them! We should know that they are capable and smart enough to do these things. Remember Antech. VCA is managed as a business by business people not Vets. well some may be Vets but they are business people first. They also employ great Vets. Our individual practices out there should take note and realize that in order to compete they need to start thinking business first so that they can indeed practice best medicine. If your business fails you have no clients to practice great medicine on.

I can't stand VCA or Antech. But they do not need me to like them or YOU
