wtf is market link??? I've been in 40 clinics this week and Vets have never heard of it. Is this a good buy for mwi, or good bye mwi?
My clinic was buying broken carton quantities of products like Sentinel, Capstar, Revolution, etc. through Marketlink. Why won't MWI offer me that service? I would like to do business with MWI but more or less on my terms. Also my new MWI rep indicated that MWI can generate no profit on the sales of any products that compete with Heartgard & Frontline per the Merial contract? Why would you sell anything at no profit?
This is why Provet is no longer AAHA MarketLink--they could not follow mfg rules for selling their products, i.e. breaking down cartons to cards.
Ahhhh! Friday afternoon and I finally got all my AAHA clinics locked up. Going to be Easy Street from here on out.

Well what are they saving money on? Most major vendors you can't discount. They save on Antech which they can get the same rate (.01 more proven by several clinics) if they are not a psi clinic. Badges are the same if you call the company and tell them you are dropping them. So now it comes down to gererics. Everyone is within 2-5% with generics. They have to pay a fee of $50 so Richard can get his pockets fattened up. MWI has to be 2% less than any other distributor and the clinic has to do $2,500 just to break even. So now you have wool over eyes. It looks good but tastes bad. Has/have MWI ever tried selling on anything other than "price"?
We will give vets product from merial in order to net down sales of elanco due to the high % we get paid. we also switch lines all the time just to hit #'s in categories that have big payouts. Is this wrong. no. it is just playing the game we are were hired to play.
