I'm coming from pharma and in the interview process with this company, would sincerely appreciate a realistic answer on how it is to work for this company: - are the products competitive? - what is "average" comp? - is the work life 7am to 7pm, or is it more cathlab maintanence and service? thanks in advance!
If you are coming from pharma you will do well here. The National Sales manager loves reports and more reports. Do you love having your temperature taken everyday? Then daily call reports are awesome tools to make you more successful. But if you want to get into true medical sales, look elsewhere.
How many reps does this company have? I've got a final interview but not sure what to think, kind of sounds like a shithole organization.
I worked in the home office. High turn-over due to upper management. Lots of politics (mis-truths), ego's, & protection of bonus & stock grants. Worker bee's are great. OK place to pay the bills, but will never get rich. Good luck.
Too much competition with VNUS, Total Vein Systems and Angiodynamcis...will just get into price wars for disposables, only to realize the VS technology is inferior. Can make a good living and a way to get into medical devices. Good luck!
We hire college kids without any work experience and string them along as associates until they figure it out and leave. Yay!
Not looking for career advice but a thoughtful response from a long time employee. I'm considering a management position and I come from the medical device side with a strong management and sales background. Thoughts?
VNUS(now Covidien) is still the giant but AngioDynamics is a close second. One other company TVS is in the mix but are in legal trouble.
With that background, why on earth would you be speaking with Vascular Solutions? Did you get laid off or fired?
